Self Contained Garden Studio near Glyndebourne

A self-contained garden studio in Firle Village, with king size double bed and en-suite shower room. The studio is 3 miles from Glyndebourne Opera House, and a short walking distance to Firle Place. Parking is free in the street. Charleston Farmhouse and the South Downs Way, Lewes, Brighton and Eastbourne are easily accessible. The studio is located in the host's garden in the beautiful village of Firle, under the South Downs, next door to Firle Shop and Post Office, and four minutes walk from Firle Church, Firle Park, Firle Place and Firle Riding School which is a popular venue for weddings. The Ram Inn, a couple of minutes walk away, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many lovely walks in the area; maps are provided. The studio is next door to Firle Post Office & Stores. The space is a self contained garden studio, for up to two people, with comfy king size bed, sofa and armchair, workspace for laptop, shower room, up to date glossy mags, and a table and chairs outside for your sole use. Please note there is no kitchen although we have provided a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, wine glasses and a picnic basket containing plates, knives and forks, bottle opener and napkins. There is space for a travel cot. The studio is well insulated, with plenty of windows, so is cool in the hot weather and warm in the winter. Hand sanitisers are provided. Guests will have sole use of the studio and the patio and garden furniture outside. We live on the property and will be on hand to give advice on walks, where to eat etc. If required. Firle has easy access to Glyndebourne Opera House, Brighton Festival and Fringe, Charleston Farmhouse and the many other walks and attractions in the area. (URL HIDDEN) Glyndebourne is a few minutes drive away. Firle Place is a short walk away - a bit longer if you're wearing high heels! There is a bus from Firle to Lewes and Eastbourne twice a day, and Glynde railway station is a 25 minute walk, or four minutes by car. Brighton is 24 minutes by train and Lewes is 10 minutes. Parking in Firle is free and there are plenty of parking spaces on the street. There is also a free village car park behind the Ram Inn. Taxi information can be provided if required. We do not provide breakfast but there are tea and coffee making facilities in the studio. The Ram Inn, which is 3 minutes walk away, serves a delicious breakfast. The Windsock sells delicious takeaway breakfasts, and good coffee on the A27 at the Glynde turning. The electric points have USB ports for charging phones, laptops, iPads. Chargers are NOT provided. There is working wifi in the studio. We have installed an efficient wifi booster. Parking is free on the street. Please do not park in the lane outside the house. If you are bringing a dog PLEASE keep it on a lead in the village, in the park, on the downs and in the garden.
