Family run Mandalay is within the Stonehenge UNESCO World Heritage site in Amesbury, Wiltshire. The holiday home is an annexe to the main house and is situated in a meandering bend of the River Avon, and ideally located for trips to Stonehenge (30 mins walk), or further afield to Durrington Walls, Woodhenge, Old Sarum, Avebury, Salisbury, the New Forest, and Bath. The holiday home has a secure and private entrance, opening to the living room and dining area. Also on the ground floor is a a kitchen with a ceramic hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine, a bathroom, and a twin bedroom with access to the large garden. Upstairs there is a further twin bedroom, a super bathroom with power shower, and a spacious double bedroom with desk and countryside views. Free wi-fi throughout the property. Off-road private parking - two spaces are available in the front driveway with easy access to the holiday home front door. A third space may be available on request. You are most welcome to enjoy the beautiful garden which faces south across a patio and a croquet lawn, down to a Greek folly. Cyclists and walkers will appreciate the secure bike shed, boot and coat rack. In case of inclement weather there are plenty of games, puzzles, books and televisions in the property. Mandalay is within the UNESCO World Heritage site and is situated within a meandering bend of the River Avon. It's only a 30 minute walk to Stonehenge and a short walk to the town of Amesbury that has a selection of restaurants, pubs and shops. Wiltshire Cycleway 45 passes the house. Easy access to A303 and national road network. Free parking available on site for up to two vehicles. Amesbury has buses to Salisbury and Andover (train station in both towns). It's a ten minute walk from Mandalay Holiday Home over the River Avon, on past the Abbey, to Amesbury town centre where you can find several pubs, restaurants and takeaways, a variety of independent shops including gift shops, independent baker and butcher, supermarkets, bank, tourist information office and a new local museum that is due to open soon. There are good bus links to Salisbury and the local area.
