The "Beat and Breakfast " ( Beat & Breakfast ) - A concept house designed by a musician for musicians. The lodge is placed near Aschaffenburg am Main (15Min) / Frankfurt am Main (45Min) in the nature park "Spessart". You can start beautiful hikes from here or just enjoy the idyllic surrounding. Songwriting , recording, or intensive rehearsals before an upcoming tour - the B & B is perfectly equipped for it. Musical instruments, sound system and recording equipment are available and ready for use. The premises ( recording room / rehearsal space are acoustically optimized) - plug & play ! Full concentration on the project without distraction. Whether classical, rock , pop or jazz - the ambience at the B & B is inspiring and offers a pleasant working atmosphere. Accommodation for bands / ensembles are available in the house . The B & B is located in the middle of Germany - so well suited for a brief band vacation. Not far away are towns like Aschaffenburg , Frankfurt am Main and Würzburg. Wiesbaden and Mainz are located about 55 minutes away. Aschaffenburg may well serve as a source of inspiration to the Colos Saal - a wonderful live music club with a rarity value. The project quickly developed to encompass a much larger goal: a completely furnished, comfortable and tasteful house, in which guests can renew their energy and live out their passion for music. The house includes two recording rooms and a large control room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a WC, and a two patios with views of the valley that ideally complement the relaxed atmosphere. Location Our Beat & Breakfast, located on a quiet site on the edge of the Spessart Nature Preserve, offers the possibility to decelerate from daily life, and creates space for musical passion, relaxation and vacation. The small town of Dornau near Sulzbach am Main enjoys a sunny atmosphere due to its high elevation, and is surrounded by meadows and forests. The location offers the ideal conditions for an amazing retreat in a private space. The cities of Frankfurt am Main (45 min.) and Aschaffenburg (15 min.) are easily reachable. You can also find a rich array of recreational activities and offerings under the heading „Lodge“. Facilities Along with two recording studies (25m2 & 5 m2), a large control room (16 m2) and the lounge (34 m2), we have two bedrooms (12 m2 & 14 m2), a kitchen (10 m2), a bathroom (6m2), WC, and two patios (6 m2 & 20 m2) with views over the valley. Equipment Along with the opportunity to make music, the extensive array of equipment available makes our Beat & Breakfast particularly unique. Guests need to bring very little, because our facilities are well furnished with all the equipment necessary to fulfill musicians’ basic artistic requirements. Our goal is to present you not only with special rooms and the opportunity for artistic development, but also with the necessary equipment to provide a “worry-free package” for our guests. Use You have the opportunity to rent the entire Beat & Breakfast house as a whole, or individual floors can also be rented separately. We find our facilities particularly suited to: - intensive preparation for a concert series - a band vacation or weekend - rehearsal weekends - a short vacation in the Spessart region - creative processes - sound recordings and recording sessions - workshops - mini concerts - ... Sustainability Our B&B would like to help you decelerate your daily life. For this reason we also find the concept of sustainability important. We strive particularly to live in harmony with our surroundings and to fulfill our ecological responsibilities, both to our guests and to nature. For this reason we chose to build our house primarily with ecological materials and to fulfill construction standards for a “passive house”. Wood floors, clay plaster and controlled air circulation in the rooms provide a comfortable and allergen-free interior climate. The use of rain water to flush the toilets and solar collectors for the majority of our electrical supply continue the sustainable concept. The rooms are heated with a woodstove. Layout Three stories offer space for development and relaxation. With ca. 100 m2, we offer guests plenty of space and freedom for their artistic work and creation. The upper floor contains two bedrooms and a relaxation area. The open ground floor houses the ample lounge and the control room – ideally suited for acoustic rehearsals, casual meetings and workshops. The recording studios and the kitchen are found in the basement. WLAN free The use of our Instruments & Recording Tools are not included - please ask for the fee. As much as you want to! The public transit isn´t very good. If you arrive by train maybe we can pick you up in Sulzbach am Main. ...but it is better to have a car or use the taxi :-) Lodge: Make yourself at home! The furnishings were chosen by your hosts with as much care as those for their own home. You will recognize this above all by the tasteful and well-considered decoration of the rooms. During the interior decoration we placed particular emphasis on the use of natural materials and colors, which create a cozy living environment. A “sofa landscape” in the roomy and well-lit lounge invites guests to relax, offering a view of the nearby valley with meadows, fields and forests. A Yamaha C2 grand piano and a wood stove round out the ensemble. The wooden east patio awaits your use for breakfast in the morning sun. The large sandstone patio to the south is ideal for sunbathing or for a barbecue. Sleeping & Eating Two sleeping rooms (one with two single beds, one with three single beds) offer accommodations for five guests. The couch in the lounge and a portable guest bed can, when needed, provide accommodation for two additional guests. The fully furnished kitchen offers the possibility of independence and self-sufficiency.
