Private room with a view
You’ll enjoy my home because it is close to colleges (Wellesley, Babson) and walking distance to downtown Wellesley with its excellent shops and restaurants. Enjoy Alexa and WiFi in your room and Netflix and cable tv in the den. Self-serve (Keurig) available stocked with variety of pods. Fresh fruit, muffins, bagels at will. Walk to train to Boston and be in Boston in 20 minutes. Close to malls, walking trails, pond, Logan Express and airport. Enjoy whole house and lovely sunsets in garden. Guests are welcome to use the well-appointed kitchen. You may use the microwave, stove, and refrigerator. The Keurig is always available and well stocked with a variety of coffees, teas, and hot chocolate. You may enjoy eating at the kitchen counter, kitchen table, or in the dining room. Guests enjoy eating and/or relaxing on one of the decks or in the garden while enjoying a lovely sunset or sunrise. You are welcome to sit by the fire in the living room to relax after a busy day of work or touring. You are welcome to use the various parts of the house and garden. Guests continue to enjoy cooking in the kitchen, dining in various downstairs rooms and garden. You are welcome to relax in the living room and enjoy a gas fire (remote control) on cool days. There is access to a washer and dryer on the bedroom floor. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner/heating unit that might be set for your personal comfort. Alex is available in all rooms as is WiFi. All bedrooms have ample closet space. There is off street parking in the driveway. I am readily available to guests; however, I do leave it to guests as to how much privacy or interaction they wish. Some guests come and go with little contact and others chat or spend time in various ways. Tonight for example a guest from China and her daughter showed us how to make dumplings. A fellow staying here from London made scones with cream, and fresh raspberries. Then we all sat in the dining room and enjoined these treats and conversation. It is always pleasant and comfortable. As guests have noted in their reviews, this is a lovely, quiet neighborhood convenient to downtown, colleges, and train to Boston. There is a pond at the end of the street (complete with swans) and easy walking trails. One trail goes along the pond, another to our town beach, and one to downtown Wellesley. You may swim in the pond or kayak (we have three kayaks you may use). There is an area with a picnic table you may enjoy. Or you may stay put and relax in my private garden complete with koi pond, screened house, and both areas for sun and shade. Getting around is quite easy. You are in walking distance to downtown Wellesley, grocery store, colleges, and the train to Boston. There is a main room at the end of the street that leads to many malls and to the airport. Many guests find it convenient to use Uber or Lift and do not bother with a private car. It is a short ride to Whole Foods (some guests do walk to Whole Foods). There is a small, upscale grocery store very near the house.
