This cottage, built in the late 1890s is one of the original structures in the intimate fishing village of Bovallstrand. It has been lovingly restored into a charming and comfortable home with a wrap around terrace perfect for socializing. Located in the third row of houses from the sea, you will find the town square, restaurants, harbor and swimming islands only 5 - 10 minutes walking distance away. Bustling Smögen is only a 15 minute drive away. Come fall in love with picturesque Bovallstrand! Originally a fisherman's home, this house is located on a cobble stone street in the old part of Bovallstrand with the distinctive Korpåsberget cliff lying behind it. Built in the late 1890s, it has been renovated to provide all modern amenities while still retaining original features. The town center, harbor, restaurants (including the popular seaside Bryggcafeet) and the Badholmarna swimming islands are only a short 5-10 minute walk away. Nearby attractions include Smögen with its energetic boardwalk, relaxing spa, lobster safaris and boating activities, Nordens Ark zoo, and hiking along the cliffs in Ramsviklandet natural reserve. Our home will give you a wonderful base to explore the beautiful coast! The listing consists of a main house, with beds for 4, and a private guest house for 2. These are connected by an expansive terrace that wraps along two edges of the house. Main House: The house has 2 floors and an additional cellar. The airy layout means that the kitchen, which opens to the sunny terrace via double doors, also connects to the dining room and adjacent living room. West and south facing, these rooms benefit from plenty of light and partial sea views, including spectacular sunsets. On the ground floor you will also find a bedroom (1 bed) and the bathroom equipped with a shower. Upstairs there is a second living room with a sleeping alcove and a sofa bed. The sleeping alcove can be screened off for privacy. The master bedroom (king bed), spanning the full width of the house, has a private seating area and balcony with views of the sea and local boat traffic. Guest Cottage: If you follow the terrace behind the house, you will find the comfortable guest cottage which has a bunk bed (sleeps 2). Parking: The house has its own driveway with parking for 1 car, a very rare feature for Bovallstrand! Additional cars can be parked on the street. Guests will have exclusive access to the full house and the adjacent guest cottage. There is a private driveway with parking for 1 car. If I am not in the area I have neighbors who will show you around the house. Public bus transporation linking Bovallstrand to the city of Uddevalla and the nearby coastal villages (Hunnebostrand, Väjern, and Smögen) can be taken from the town square (5 minutes walk).
