Penrith, 4 miles away, has shops, restaurants, a castle, museum and leisure centre with swimming pool. Rheged, the grass covered discovery centre is only 2 miles from Penrith. Carlisle, the Scottish borders and Hadrian’s Wall are within easy reach, as is ‘The World of Beatrix Potter’ at Bowness on Windermere. Pub and Post office 3 miles away in Greystoke. Car essential.
