Easy lakefront access to great swimming; fishing; kayaking (two available); paddleboarding (BYO), reading and relaxing; amazing sunsets; close to Belfast and centrally located for coastal day trips to Boothbay Harbor, Bar Harbor/Acadia, Pemaquid Lighthouse/Beach, and more. In this fast-paced world, life on Lake St. George hasn't changed much since the owner first visited 35 years ago. Except for some hidden essential amenities (like excellent WI-FI), it's a place to regain peace, balance and perspective. Priceless. Guests have free access to the entire property except for use of the sailboat, firepit (against regulations) and bikes on property. Owner stores personal belongings in the cottage but the shared space is comfortable for guests. Lake St. George is billed as one of the purest lakes in Maine. Excellent fishing and swimming and other water activities. Liberty is five minutes away and offers several unique shops, a new coffee shop and a few family style restaurant options nearby. Belfast is a short 20 minute drive on Rt. 3 for fancier cuisine and an ocean experience. Also two local breweries. Guests will need to have personal car available; no publis transportation nearby. Plenty of parking at top of property. Any personal larger boats will need to be launched from the public launch at the end of the lake and should be day use only. Even with own anchor, it is not recommended to keep on lake overnight due to occasional high winds or unexpected storms. Plenty of space for boat trailer in parking area at top of property.
