First Floor: Bedroom 1: With double bed, 32’’ Smart TV and en-suite with shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2: With kingsize bed, 24’’ Smart TV and en-suite with shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Initial fuel for wood burner included. Courtyard with garden furniture and gas BBQ. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: Family and holiday maker bookings only. . The Creamery is approximately 200 years old, and as the name implies, was the building used to produce the dairy products for the working farm. It has been lovingly restored to a high standard providing extremely comfortable and well equipped accommodation. With traditional beams, a wood burner and a 42” smart TV making the living room a comfortable place to curl up and relax after a day exploring. The stylish and well-equipped kitchen is complete with gas range cooker and modern appliances, the breakfast table looks out onto the private courtyard garden and fields beyond. There is a separate dining room as well as a small children’s playroom. Upstairs are two en-suite bedrooms, both with fine bed linen and comfortable beds to ensure a good night’s sleep, as well as bathrobes, slippers and complimentary toiletries all being provided. Externally is a private courtyard garden set with comfortable rattan furniture and gas barbecue to enjoy a morning coffee or al fresco supper. Wychnor is a small hamlet set within beautiful countryside and within walking distance of a variety of activities and amenities. A short 15-minute walk down the lane you will find the Wychnor Park Country Club, a popular wedding venue, the bar and restaurant are open to the public. Wynchnor is on the National Bike Route and guests can pick up the first sign about 20 yards from the property’s drive. There is also a carp fishing lake which is just a 5-minute walk from The Creamery. For further fishing, the junction of the River Trent and the Trent and Mersey Canal is less than a 5-minute walk. A 20-minute walk down the canal brings you to the lovely village of Alrewas. Here you will find all your local amenities – post office, pharmacy, three local pubs, a variety of takeaways, coffee shop and restaurant. Alternatively the village of Barton-under-Needwood is within walking distance or a 5-minute drive away. Offering a greater variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. Barton Marina is also a popular place to visit, with its galleries, boutique shops, cinema and a waterfront pub. Just 9 miles from Burton-upon-Trent, you can enjoy a fascinating day discovering the art of brewing beer, whilst the National Memorial Arboretum is just 4 miles away and definitely worth a visit. Also, a short drive away you will find the lovely market town of Lichfield, retaining its original character, with a beautiful cathedral, writer Samuel Johnson’s home, a centre dedicated to physician Erasmus Darwin and St Mary’s Centre, where the Staffordshire Millennium Tapestries are on permanent display. Walk through Beacon Park, browsing the shops or eating at one of the many restaurants or cafés. A short drive away you will discover Tamworth Castle, the ancient capital of Mercia. Take time out to visit one of the local historic estates including Chatsworth House, Shugborough Hall, Kedleston Hall and the nearby Sudbury Hall.
