The 'Blue Heron Watch' Nature Getaway

Come stay in our Cozy Bear Cave at the Blue Heron Watch! A magnificent natural oasis well setback from the road with a wonderful stream fed pond. Take a short walk or bike to the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail. Pop over to Rosendale(3 min) or New Paltz(10 min) villages. With so many great outdoor activities in the area this lovely well appointed unit is a great home base, or dont go anywhere and commune with all "the Heron" has to offer. Wildlife abounds here and we welcome you to share in it! The unit is a lovely one bedroom apartment with an open floor plan dining/livingroom area. The kitchen is a separate room and the second bed is the sofa bed in the livingroom. Both the livingroom and bedroom have sliding door access to the flagstone patio area as well as offer magnificent views of the stream based pond onsite. Off the side of the patio is the guest use propane grill. The yard is fully available to all. Jon, Cheryl and Uncle Jack are available via phone and text messge at a minimum and are onsite in some capacity depending on our schedules. The residential hamlet of Tillson, NY is on the Wallkill Valley rail trail and supports one bar/restaurant(The Postage Inn). It is a 3 minute drive to Rosendale village, 10 minute drive to New Paltz village and 15 minute drive to the city of Kingston with its happening Uptown and Roundout neighborhoods. Generally having a car is the most convenient way to get around this part of the Mid Hudson Valley. Once here accessing Rosendale via bicycle is a viable option and bikes that can be used on the rail trail is preferred. There is a Trailways bus stop in Tillson(The Postage Inn) that buses from New York City Port Authority Bus Terminal service.
