The Avenue Corner, a newly renovated modern apartment in a charming listed building. This stylish self catering accommodation is great for both holiday and business travellers. The apartment offers a spacious open plan living area with 3 seater sofa bed, armchair, TV and DVD, a dining table for 4 and a large fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen includes stone work surfaces, oven, induction hob, microwave grill, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer and coffee machine. The cosy double bedroom (with a super king bed which converts to twins if required) has hanging space, TV and bedsides and is adjacent to the ensuite shower room. The shower room can also be accessed directly from the living space, great for guests using the cosy small double sofa bed. Unfortunately, due to an open staircase and steps inside the apartment it's not suitable for babies and children under 8yrs old The entire apartment is yours during your stay The first floor accommodation is accessed via the front door to the right of the interior design studio (Abbeywood Interiors) on the main road, Alexandria Crescent. We always aim to welcome guests in person and we are only 15 minutes away when required. The Avenue Corner is less than 10 minutes comfortable walk from the main shopping streets including the Market Place, High Street and Millennium Square. The accommodation is similarly close to numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. We recommend Flat White Kitchen, Finbarrs and Zen. Only 3-4 minutes walk away you will find Tesco express, Sainsbury's local and Robinson's independent greengrocer. Less than 10 minutes walk to Durham railway station and Market Place Less than 15 minutes comfortable walk to Durham Cathedral, Castle and Palace Green. On street permit parking available. We provide 1 daily permit for each night of your stay. Any additional cars will need to pay and display which is 30 pence per half hour (free Sundays and bank holidays, and overnight 6pm-8am). We are ideally located to explore Durham City and the wider North East region including the Durham Dales, the Heritage Coast, Newcastle and Gateshead.
