Cathedral Hill Apartment - Upper

This bright and tidy apartment with private entrance is located in a century home and habited by families in the lower levels. A five minute walk gets you to many amenities (groceries, coffee bar, natural foods, micro-brewery), public transit (city buses and GO transit) and multiple downtown entertainment options (theatre, restaurants, bars, trails). This is a unit within a legal tri-plex owned by the resident on the main floor. You have private access to the self-contained unit via the street-facing front porch (red door on the left). This third floor unit has an exit door through the kitchen for emergency purposes. I live in the unit on the main floor and my workplace is only a few blocks away. I can be relied upon for assistance throughout your stay. Cathedral Hill is great transitional neighbourhood between the downtown and residential areas of Peterborough. It is a mix of century homes, rental housing and small businesses or services. The juxtaposition of three different churches (Anglican, Catholic, United) in a row set between Peterborough's primary set of one-way streets is unique and is the inspiration for the listing name...Cathedral Hill. Groceries, natural foods, specialty cheese, laundromats, florist, cafe, restaurants, theatres, and micro-brewery are all just steps away. Street parking is an option in summer months and is not metered. However, there is no overnight parking allowed during the winter to allow for street snow removal....you risk being ticketed or towed. Instead, guests have one parking spot at the rear of the house. Public transit stops are close and the city's central bus terminal is only a 10 minute walk away. The location of the tub is under a sloping roof line. This means that your showering experience does not allow standing. My very affordable fee reflects this minor inconvenience.
