Kavan Cottage, on the river Kupa

A traditional oak house with a wooden rustic interior that is located on a small hill surrounded by trees, 300 meters from the river Kupa. Large yard with lots of greenery and barbecue area. Sleeping in authentic oak house that is over 100 years old is a special feeling, especially if you try local wines that will wait in house as welcome gift. The river is 300 meters away in its wilder form, it is good to go there to take a walk, for fishing or to put some raft into water. But if you will want to go for a swim on maintained beaches there are 3-4 nice ones nearby, only 5 min away with car. Ten minutes walk from the house there is a cave Vrlovka that is 330 meters deep, it is located on the banks of the river in an attractive location that has recently been renovated and opened to visitors. In front of the entrance door there is a terrace with a two-bench table for 6 people. When you enter the house you are in the living room, kitchen and dining room. On the same level there is a bedroom (with double bed and closet) and bathroom with toilet. Stairs lead to a gallery in the loft overlooking the living room and another bedroom with a double bed. Interacting with guests depends on their preference. I am at disposal with all instructions and information that guest can use. In house there is a brochure with tips and routs to attractions in the near surroundings. In brochure there are all secrets places known only by local's. Kamanje is a warm country village that stands out with the beauty of nature and the rural way of life. It will reach you with its hills, forests and river Kupa. There are numerous activities such as nature hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, and other activities on the Kupa river. You can also pick chestnuts or mushrooms when season comes. In the neighborhood of Kamanje is the Old Town of Ozalj (10km), built on a cliff above the river Kupa, which emerges from the cave and enters the open valley. Nice place to be. Ten minutes walk from the property there is the Kamanje railway station. The approach to the house seen on one of the pictures is steep, so careful when trying to climb (with car). If you do not gather courage at the foot of the property there is a parking space you can use.
