The Lookout | Westwood Christian Centre
The Lookout is part of Westwood Christian Centre - a 19th century church building converted into beautiful self-contained flats. The moment you walk into The Lookout - after you have caught your breath from the incredible views over the Colne Valley -- you will notice the beautifully retained features of the church building. Spacious and high-ceilinged, the Lookout studio flat is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, or people needing to get away from it all. The Lookout provides self-catering accommodation with a well-equipped kitchen. The main living & dining area features two beautiful clear glazed arched windows; lovely views to South West and North West and as well as central heating, there is a gas fireplace - which you are more than welcome to use. There is also access to a washer, dryer and iron in a separate utility room in the building which we can make available to you upon request. We have awe-inspiring landscapes on our doorstep, and we are nestled in the Pennine hills surrounded by rambling walks and stunning views. Located in Bolster Moor, you can discover what neighbouring Yorkshire villages (Golcar, Scapegoat Hill, Slaithwaite) have to offer. We intentionally don't have any televisions in the flats, however, we do have WiFi and 4G if you do need to catch up with the world. You'll have access to the grounds, including pond, fire-pit and lawn. We are volunteer wardens, working and living on site. Wardens will be contactable via telephone during your stay. We're set in a lovely little community up on a hill, overlooking the village of Slaithwaite. There's Slaithwaite train station 1 mile away, and Huddersfield is 3 miles away.
