Charming Shepherd’s Hut nr. Petersfield, Hampshire

Newly refurbished shepherd’s hut for two in idyllic rural location in the village of Steep, near Petersfield, Hampshire. This locally built hut is nestled in a small field, with stunning views. The cosy self-contained retreat has a foldaway small double bed with bedding and towels, cooking area with single electric hob and microwave oven, and a bathroom with a flushing toilet and wash basin. There is an outside shower with hot water. There is an outside eating area with fridge. The hut is fully fitted with kitchen utensils and household essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper and milk. There is an outside area with table and chairs and a fridge so you can experience peace and tranquillity while taking in the views. The hut is heated with an electric towel rail, and electric wood stove lookalike heater, so is very cosy on chilly evenings. The hut has its own small garden area within an enclosed dog safe paddock. We live nearby, so if there are any problems we are usually available. It is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk through fields to Petersfield. This is a beautiful historic market town very close to the Meon valley and only one hour by train from London. There is a twice weekly market, (Wednesday and Saturday and farmers market first Sunday of the month) a wealth of interesting shops, and a very pretty boating lake. There are also plenty of coffee shops and restaurants to choose from. Steep is a delightful village. We are a 10 minute walk to the Cricketers Inn which serves delicious pub food most evenings. The much loved Harrow inn is five minutes in a car or a 20 minute stroll. There are wonderful walks from the doorstep, and we are only a short drive from the South Downs Way and Goodwood. There is a wealth of great pubs locally and the lovely towns of Winchester and Chichester only half an hour away. Nearest town is Petersfield: 5 mins drive from hut (20 min lovely walk) London - Petersfield: 1 hour train from waterloo Chichester, Winchester and Goodwood all 30 minutes drive away Beautiful walks from the door and all around the village. Well behaved dogs are welcome but there’s really only room for two. We have our own Labrador retriever puppy who will be very happy to meet you.
