A private herd of Fallow deer, ducks, chickens, geese, peafowl and guinea fowl roam freely The property was built in 2019 and has been finished to a very high specification. It has a private entrance and is set apart from the main residence We are currently building a new stable block. Please note that there may be some noise and building work from Monday mornings until Friday afternoon. We have tried to keep bookings for weekends only to avoid as much disruption, however, midweek bookings can still be made. Elm Vale Cottages are open for business and we would love to see you here, but are aware that many people have concerns about travelling. We are situated in a rural location without too many people around, but we have the beautiful towns of Diss & Fair Green on our doorstep with local shops. Cleanliness has always been the backbone of our business, and you can rest assured that extra rigorous cleaning is on the agenda between all our bookings. This is the most important thing that we can do at the moment, and so are taking this very seriously indeed. You can also get to some of Norfolk/Suffolk best beaches within an hour. In front of the property is a walk to Fair Green which has a great local pub "The Cock Inn" and an amazing fish & chip shop. Walking along "The Lows" gets you into Diss. Diss is part of the Cittaslow (literally slow city) status town. The aim is to improve the quality of life for its residents and visitors, by resisting the day-to-day hustle and bustle of modern times encouraging people to take time over enjoyable aspects of life, including food. We are fortunate to have a local supermarkets within a 5 minute walk from the property and the station is a 15 minute walk allowing access to Norwich and Ipswich within 20 minutes and London Liverpool street is an hour and a half train journey. Diss Town is around a 10 minute walk which has lots of pubs/restaurants overlooking Diss Mere. Snetterton race track is around a 30 minute drive and our property has ample CCTV protected car parking. If you like walking we have our own private walks along the river or within the woodland as well as nature reserves close by.
