The Annex at Woodside

Stay in a modern space in the grounds of a private house in the charming village of Kimpton in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. Near Stonehedge, the Hawk Conservancy, Salisbury Plain, Thruxton Race Circuit, Marlborough & Salisbury. Great for walking, sight seeing or country pursuits. Friendly host family and easily accessible from the A303. The Annex is a self contained 700 sq ft space over two floors. The property has a large comfortable bedroom with a king size bed and plenty of space to relax in downstairs, along with a new shower room and a coat/boot room. There is plenty of space for a travel cot (which can be provided on request) in the bedroom. Upstairs is a cosy sitting room with a galley kitchen at the far end. The large sofa coverts into a double bed and there is a small table with 4 folding chairs if you want to sit down for breakfast! The kitchen has a Nespresso machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave & electric hob. There is no private outside area but guests are welcome to sit out on the lawned area in front of the annex (see photo). Chairs can be provided! The Annex is completely self contained and guests have their own access throughout their stay. Your host family will give you plenty of space. There is normally someone available to provide help or advice if needed. Kimpton is one of several small villages near Thruxton Race Circuit, situated on the edge of Salisbury Plain. The village has a church and a pub (20 yards from the property) selling local ales and snack food. Other pubs in nearby villages serve food throughout the day and restaurants are available in the nearby towns. There are plenty of options for visitors, ranging from the local Hawk Conservancy shows to fishing on the famous chalk rivers of Hampshire & Wiltshire, along with shopping & sightseeing at the historic city of Salisbury and market town of Marlborough. Winchester is just 30 minutes drive away for more shopping and sightseeing opportunities. The property is just a mile from the A303 (although there is no road noise). The nearest towns are Andover & Tidworth (both 5 miles). Andover has a train station (West Country service from Waterloo) that is around £15 in a taxi. Milk, bread, butter & jam or similar are provided for breakfast Access code for keys will be provided 24 hours ahead of arrival. There is space to park next to the Annex for one car. There are two friendly dogs on the property.
