Close to Porthcurno/MinackTheatre/Lands End/Sennen/St Buryan! Nestled in beautiful wooded valley bordered by a stream. The wildlife, birds and night skies are a sight for sore eyes. Garden has stream, ponds & bluebell wood. Porthcurno beach & Minack Theatre 2 miles and Sennen Cove 3 miles away. Beautiful garden where you can sit and relax. Hand crafted (wriggly tin) Shepherds Hut with hand built kitchen, comfy double bed, logburner, ensuite with heated floor, fast WiFi & other lovely touches! Nestled in a private space in the garden surrounded by water on three sides - right next to a trout filled stream which makes its way down to Penberth Cove (where Poldark is filmed) , is our lovely (wriggly tin) craftsman hand built Shepherds Hut - measuring 5.5 x 2 metres with en-suite shower room (with underfloor heating and heated towel rail, and proper flush toilet!) super fast WiFi, comfortable (standard 4’6 by 6’2) fixed double bed - no having to put it up and down all the time! (with quality Egyptian cotton bedding, feather and down duvet and pocket sprung, memory foam mattress), plenty of under bed storage for bags, wood burner (logs provided), hand built kitchen (with electric hob, microwave, fridge) , comfy bench seat for two, games, books and thoughtfully sourced bits such as reclaimed fold up chairs from an Indian cinema, Alessi and Melin Tregwynt. Reclaimed Indian Kadai Fire Bowl with BBQ grill next to the stream - charcoal provided! Lovely and cosy - suitable all year round - log burner and well insulated! Perfect for a romantic break or Honeymoon! A very private space - come and go as you please. Parking next to 'Crean Mill' and then walk 100 yards to the Hut - wheelbarrow available for luggage! Just the place to RELAX but still right in the midst of the attractions and beauty of West Cornwall. We are located in a wonderful wooded valley on the way from St Buryan to Porthcurno, Sennen Cove & Lands End. Excellent position for everything in West Cornwall. Amazing walks from the Hut. The hut is located within our large sub tropical garden in a very private spot overlooking the stream - it is so peaceful and relaxing listening to the water and birds. You can see the Milky Way on a clear night which is amazing! Guests are welcome to wander around the peaceful garden and sit by the stream in front of your own private fire pit/bbq and enjoy the wildlife and a glass of wine! Deer, Otters & Herons spotted in the garden. Many birds to watch - woodpeckers, Jays, blackcaps, skylarks - lots to see and hear! Owls in abundance hooting you to sleep! Dragonflies and Damselflies can be seen at certain times of the year and the previous occupant of the Mill was a professor who was the Worlds leading authority on Dragon and Damsel flies! Shepherds Huts were traditionally used by farmers and herdsmen to shelter from the weather but this hut is a far cry from the ones they would have been used to! Towels and tea towels, tea, coffee and sugar provided. Super Fast WiFi and digital radio - no tv. Nice pubs locally - walkable distance (approx 20 mins walk to St Buryan down the road and 30 mins walk to Logan Rock across fields) but great local taxi service available. Amazing walks and Beautiful beaches and coves nearby - Sennen, Porthgwarra, Porthcurno, Pedn Vounder to name a few! Come and chill out - find a yoga spot next to the stream or in the woods - relax and enjoy this beautiful area. Romantic and peaceful! Tropical ferns, banana plants, succulents, camellias, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, daffodils, bluebells, snowdrops - depending on the season , all welcome you! We have 2 Labradors and a pussycat who all live in the Mill too and may like to come and say hello! If you want romance, peace and quiet and relaxation then this is the place for you - if you want nightlife and partying with the pub on the doorstep then I’m afraid it’s not! Enjoy the garden and sit and relax by the stream! Steve and Grace are on hand as and when required, but will totally respect your privacy and are very happy to help and give advice and recommendations as and when needed! Crean is in quiet wooded valley close to all attractions of West Cornwall. It is a very spiritual area with lots of artists and poets living in the vicinity. Sennen Cove and Lands End are three miles away. The Minack Theatre and Porthcurno Beach are two miles - walkable from the hut. We can give directions! This is a great base for walking and exploring the vicinity and seeing what beautiful West Cornwall has to offer. The village of St Buryan is one mile away where there is a shop and pub. Treen is just over a mile or so the other way with the famous Logan Rock where you will also find a lovely Cornish pub with open fire and good beer, (walk from the hut) - there is also a little a small cafe open in the season serving cream teas and sandwiches. Lovely places to eat around and about. Takes about 25 mins to walk across the fields to Logan Rock. The amazing Pedn Vounder beach is next to Treen - looks like a tropical beach! There are lots of things to do and see in this area and lots of lovely walks. Penberth Cove is a 25 minute walk - this is sometimes full of tv crew filming Poldark so you may be lucky and catch a glimpse! It is approx a 25 min walk onto the coast path where you can take in all of the lovely coves, views and wildlife! The Minack is walkable down the road and takes approx 25 minutes on foot and five minutes by car. Porthgwarra cove is a short drive and has a lovely cafe with amazing cream teas! We have the best of Cornwall all on your doorstep! Car is almost a must. The open top bus does stop half a mile away from us in high season. There is a good value local taxi firm who are very good and do the Minack run frequently from our house for guests and also from the pubs! We have guests that don’t touch their car from the moment they arrive and walk around the area but that’s not for everyone. We can store bikes and surfboards in the garage if needed. Steve and Grace have 2 lovely Labradors who live on site, and a highly strung cat! She is half Bengal and very inquisitive! They are all very friendly and our dogs always like anyone who will throw their ball! They are not allowed to wander around the garden on their own but Please be careful when driving down the drive as they may have escaped! Please drive very slowly! We may have guests staying in ‘The Old Flour Store’ at the same time but this will Not impact you in anyway as your space is very separate.
