Colombage maison normande - chambre pour 2 pers
Situated in a small village 25 mins from Dieppe and the ferry, 15 mins from the beaches at Quiberville and St Marguerite sur Mer and 5 mins from the town of Luneray in the attractive valley of the river Saane. This roomy house is a typical colombage Normandy maison - cool in the summer and well insulated and warm in the winter. If you would like continental breakfast (€5.00) in your room please advise when booking or on arrival. See "Other things to note" below. Situated on the first floor there is a roomy twin bedded bedroom together with a spacious private bathroom. There is separate private access via the outside staircase. The bedroom and bathroom are set aside from the rest of the house. Under the new Airbnb Covid recommendations If breakfast is required, it can no longer be served in the dining area of the main house. Please see other things to note below. We would be happy to help in any way to make our guests stay comfortable. We can also advise on local amenities such as restaurants, shopping, and sites of interest. Gueures is a small village at the confluence of the rivers Saane and Vienne. It lies in the valley of the Saane which offers a very attractive scenic route to the south. About 15 minutes away, following the course of the river, are the main beaches at Quiberville and St Marguerite sur Mer. There are other more secluded beaches at Varengeville - home to the Impressionists. Within easy reach we have a number of interesting Chateaux, Manoirs, with beautiful gardens Rouen takes about 45mins by car. It takes 2 hrs to Paris by car or train. Luneray has a big traditional market on Sundays which is well worth visiting There is a bus that goes through Gueures but it is rather infrequent. Unless you like walking a car is essential. There is ample parking space in the drive of the house. There are 4 supermarkets in the nearby market town of Luneray as well as a main post office and several banks. Under normal circumstances, we would offer a comprehensive Continental breakfast (which is a supplement) in our dining room in the main part of the house. However, under the Airbnb’s COVID-19 safety practices we are required to follow strict separation rules, which means that in order to comply with the new recommendations we should not be offering this option at this time. What we can do is offer a continental breakfast of fresh croissants, pain au chocolat and a baguette, delivered to your room in the morning with jams butter etc. There are already facilities for making tea or coffee. Should you wish to take this option there would be a charge for this at 5€ a head. With regards to an evening meal, we quite understand the problems associated with the curfew closing all the restaurants. Your accommodation does not include a separate kitchen and the strict anti-Covid rules we are obliged to follow by Airbnb mean we cannot offer that facility or entertain you for breakfast in the main house. At the moment guests who take up the accommodation bring a picnic with them for an evening meal and we supply plates and cutlery. There is a small Microwave oven available in the bedroom so hot food is possible. Whilst we can accept well- behaved dogs, in our opinion the space available and potential escape possibilities make our accommodation unsuitable for pussy cats.
