We opened in April 2021. Seagull’s Rest is a homely and welcoming self contained ground floor holiday apartment with a private garden and off street parking in a peaceful location. Walking distance to Littlestone beach and close to local amenities . Ideal for exploring Romney Marsh and surrounding area. Sleeps 2-4, Sofa bed in the sitting room. Well behaved dog/s welcome. Sorry Seagull’s Rest is not suitable for young children, however babies may be considered. Please contact us to enquire. A big thank you to all our guests for booking with us since April 2021. We're looking forward to welcoming you back along with new visitors. You enter Seagull’s Rest through a private front door in this quiet street within a 5 minute stroll to Littlestone beach. Seagull’s Rest is a homely, warm space with a mixture of new and up cycled furniture. You can choose between a King size bed or 2 singles and there is a comfortable double sofa bed in the sitting room. If like us, you like to holiday with your dog, well behaved dogs (max. of 2) are more than welcome. However, as a consideration to all guests staying, please do not let them on the furniture or in the bedroom. There is a secure front garden that your dog can use and an outside tap if they need a wash down! You’re welcome to bring dog towels but please do not wash them in the washing machine. Due to Covid-19, please can you place all bed linen and towels in the laundry bags at the end of your stay. We would also ask you to use the dishwasher please. Seagull’s Rest is self contained/catering ground floor accommodation, accessed through its own private front door. We look forward to you staying in our newly renovated accommodation as a base to explore the local area of Romney Marsh and to explore beautiful Kent. Seagull’s Rest is self-contained but adjoins our house and we are available if you need anything, so please do not hesitate to contact us. New Romney, Littlestone, Greatstone all link together in this quiet coastal area of Kent. With a choice of a pebble beach or sand, popular with families, couples, dog walkers and water sport enthusiasts. There is a friendly, well stocked Spar with post office and Chinese takeaway nearby and New Romney has all the local amenities you need from a butchers, bakery, fruit & Veg shop and various independent shops to browse. If you don’t feel like cooking there is a good selection of restaurants and takeaways; Fish and chip, Indian, Greek, Italian, Turkish and pizza restaurants most of which deliver. If you want to explore, this area of Kent gives you easy access to Dungeness, RSPB wildlife trust, RH&D Railway, Dymchurch, Hythe, Folkestone, Ashford, Canterbury and Dover is only a 45 minute drive away. We have local bus services, one going to the medieval town of Rye. Close to the lovely Littlestone golf course. There is plenty to explore all year around from surfing to bird watching, fishing or walking. We are sure that you will enjoy staying at Seagull’s Rest. All main destinations covered by bus routes from nearby bus stops . RH&D railway from to Dungeness, Hythe and a Dymchurch. Access to Ashford International railway station by bus or car. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and sugar and a few treats for you and your dog! We also leave you a complimentary bottle of red, white or Rose wine, so when you book please let us know your preference. There is an additional charge of £5 per night for use of the sofa bed if only 2 people are staying. A basket of wood is supplied per stay. Please let us know if you are celebrating a special occasion, or if you have any special requests/ requirements and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Please note that there is no charging point for electric cars, any socket used for charging will incur a £ 30 daily charge. Please contact us if you wish to charge your car.
