Living in history: Heidi Braun Cottage

Buisness / ideal for Staycation (-40%/month) The Heidi Braun cottage takes its name from the last dweller who lived here for 40 years, before it was entirely restored (the restoration won an award at the Eifel Achitectural Heritage Awards 2017) Our cottage is the ideal starting point for your stay in the Eifel region. It's situated in center of the medieaval village, across from the castle. It invites you to stay in pure "Gemütlichkeit" with antique furniture and modern kitchen and bathroom. - Ground floor - Open concept floor plan combines entrance, kitchen and the lliving and dining areas. The wood burner guarantees snugly evenings. The TV has an Amazon Fire TV Stick. Washer and dryer are located under the staircase. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, glass cook top, oven, dishwahser, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. - 1st floor - The modern Bathroom with a shower and a XL tub is located here. The WC is separate in a half bath. - 2nd floor - The two small bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with an individual bed, pure cosyness under the roof slopes.. Guests have the only and exclusive access to all parts of the house. I don't live in or near the property, but I will always be available in case of problems or questions. Located in the "good lands" of the Southern Eifel, from our cottage you can discover the beautiful landscape, small villages, castles and monuments but visit fascinatig cities like Tier (35 min.) or Luxembourg (50 min.) as well. Bitburg is the closet lager town (15 min.) In the vilage you will find a bistro with a nice beergarden in front of the castle under the old buckeyes, two restaurants, a small supermarket, a bakery, a butcher and two banks with ATM. The nearest railway stations are located at Philippsheim (no taxi), 2.5 km. or Bitburg-Erdorf (6 km.) on the "Eifel-Express-Line (Trier - Cologne). Occasionally, there are public buses to Bitburg. Guests can park directly opposite of the cottage to unload (There is a time restriction which usually is not controlled). There is a public parking lot in front of the castle as well, with a c. 20 meter footpath (less than a minute) to the cottage. Another parking lot is located next to the church at c. 40 m. Our cottage is located in the center of the quiet village, without any transit traffic, in front of the castle. The village is very calm. Due requierements of the heritage protection authorities the cottage doesn't have external roller blindes, light can be blocked out with opaque curtains and interior blinds.
