Our seaside house is a home-away-from-home. Situated a short 2 minute walk from the beautiful south facing Newbiggin Bay on the Northumberland coast. Its a great place for families or friends to enjoy some precious 'me' time by the sea. If you need to work, just plug in your laptop, close the door and let the kids loose in our Pirate themed bedroom full of toys, games and books. The property sleeps up to 6 people in 2 rooms (maximum of 4 adults sharing 2 double beds please). There is a travel cot, guest bed + junior ready bed available as well as a ground floor sofa bed for 1. The property provides holiday makers with a clean, fresh, modern and comfortable base for visiting the Northumbrian coastline, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham and the Scottish borders. The lounge is furnished with plenty of comfortable seating and has a SMART TV with DVD and Netflix. We have a reliable fibre broadband connection and offer complimentary WIFI so even if the weather isn't great you can cuddle up with a cosy throw and connect with the world or binge on your favourite box set between long walks on the beach. Our kitchen has everything you will need for your self-catering stay including a washer/dryer, electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, family size fridge freezer, toaster, slow cooker, sandwich toaster, Tassimo and a good range of utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots & pans. Loo roll & other essentials like anti bac spray & paper towels are always provided for your stay. We have a separate dining room and the dining table is extendable so you can always enjoy a meal in comfort, great if you prefer a night in! The room can be opened up into the living room or closed off to provide a quiet workspace, chill out den or additional sleeping area so can adapt to the needs of your party. Upstairs, the master bedroom is a place of peace and relaxation and is simply decorated with a feature wall mural of Newbiggin Bay. Furnished with a new double bed with superior mattress, drawer chest & bedsides - its a great place to listen to the sound of the sea while falling asleep or enjoying a holiday read from our reading shelf. Our spacious 'family bedroom' is furnished with a triple bunk bed configured as a double bed below with a single bunk above. A travel cot, a Jay-be guest bed & a junior 'ready bed' is available in this room too so theres something suitable for every age. There's plenty of storage and play space for your little pirates so they can enjoy our treasure chest of games, sea themed toys, pirate books, dress ups and DVDs when they are not enjoying the freedom of the beach. If you are travelling as adults only, the toys are popped out of sight before you arrive. The bathroom (upgraded in 2020) is part tiled and our power shower over the bath provides ample hot water - perfect for rinsing off the sand you've brought back from the beach! Free parking is available on street, usually directly outside of the property and other transportation links are available within a short walking distance. Our private and enclosed courtyard is not overlooked and is a great place for enjoying your breakfast outdoors or just relaxing in your PJ's at the end of a busy day of sight-seeing. It offers guests plenty of seating and has a table with parasol for outdoor dining. What we provide as standard: Reasonable use of gas / electricity, hairdryer, toiletries, essential kitchen pantry items. complimentary fibre WIFI, Netflix and free on - street parking.
