The farm is 287 acre organic mixed livestock and arable farm. The farmhouse annexe has recently been created from the main farmhouse and has been newly decorated and recently refurbished so has some modern features as well as old features. The annexe captures the essence of the period property boasting traditional features and features added on through the centuries. Heated by a sustainable biomass boiler, using timber from farm woodlands. Positioned in Normanton-on-Soar, it is only a 10 minute drive from East Midlands airport and central to many attractions nearby including Calke Abbey at Ticknall and The Space Centre in Leicester city centre. There is lots to do and see in the midlands, while also enjoying the peace and calm of the countryside whilst staying at the Annexes. The annexe has a large living room with traditional features and a modern kitchen that includes all amenities and has a seating area for four. The annexe includes its own staircase and has a large bedroom with a king size bed and another bedroom with 2 single beds, also a shower room with a large shower. The heating is run by a biomass boiler. The property has its own outdoor seating area. This area is unfenced. You are welcome to walk the gardens. A travel cot and highchair can be provided if needed. Please note: As an annexe to the main farmhouse there is potential for noise as a working farm and family home. There is an unfenced pond in the garden. Please note: the staircase is a unique style, please take care navigating. You are welcome to use the conservatory, it is shared with annexe 2. Just a short walk and you are in the village of Normanton on Soar, where there is a riverside pub and a traditional chain ferry across the river. There is also a public slipway for boating. To welcome you to our beautiful farmhouse annexe we provide a welcome pack including a litre of fresh organic milk, 6 fresh organic eggs, a couple of sachets of cafetière coffee, a few tea bags and sugar.
