Welcome to Linden View, a peaceful dog-friendly, self-catering holiday home in Louth. The two-bedroom house sits on a quiet, no-through road opposite a cemetery with views towards the countryside, but also a ten minute walk into the historic town of Louth. If you are looking for a self-catering stay with the countryside on your doorstep but also close to shops, pubs and restaurants - then this could be for you. For 2021 the house has a new kitchen and bathroom fitted and also has free Wi-fi. Linden View is the middle house on a row of three properties on a quiet, no-through road a ten-minute walk to Louth town centre. The house, which overlooks the cemetery, gets the morning sun at the rear and the sunset at the front. With no facing properties, there are views towards the countryside from the front of the house. Linden View accommodates four people in two bedrooms. They feature a double bed and two single beds. The main bedroom has a TV. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with shower over. Downstairs there is a kitchen/diner with a table and chairs for four people and a living room. Outside there is a small back garden with an outdoor dining set and bench. Parking is on the street outside the house. There is a small front garden. A maximum of two dogs are welcome throughout the house and gardens. We ask guests not to leave dogs unattended in the house or gardens. It would be appreciated if dogs were kept off the sofas and beds. There is gas central heating and instant hot water. The kitchen is new for 2021, with a built-in hob and oven, dishwasher and a full-sized fridge-freezer. In the living room there is a TV and DVD player, with a selection of books and DVDs. The bathroom has also been replaced in 2021, with a shower over the L-shaped bath. The rear garden is laid to lawn but has a small, secluded patio area - perfect for sitting out on a warm evening. Entire house and gardens. Your hosts live just around the corner so will be available (unless otherwise stated) should you have any issues or would like some advice about the area. While the area is quiet and hidden away, Linden View has the advantage of being a ten minute walk into Louth. There you will find independent shops unique to the town, some national chains and a great variety of places to eat and drink. The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is on your doorstep, the seaside is 20 minutes away and the historic city of Lincoln is just 45 minutes by road. There is also motor racing at Cadwell Park, 15 minutes from Louth and horse racing at Market Rasen, 20 minutes down the road. Dog walkers and ramblers are well catered for - you can join public footpaths from the doorstep which will take you into the heart of the countryside. Further afield, you can walk along the unspoilt coastline in dunes and on deserted beaches. There are many great walks in the Wolds, suitable for all tastes - you can also walk part of the Viking Way, which runs from the banks of the River Humber down to Rutland Water. The nearest train station to Louth is at Market Rasen or Grimsby and there are bus services between the towns and villages. Louth was named Britain's Favourite Market Town by Countryfile magazine in 2012, described as a 'foodies paradise', it boasts several butchers, a cheese shop, delic‎atessen, bakers, cafes, pubs, restaurants and independent shops (including a small department store) which really make it unique. There is a market three times a week (the busiest in the region), a farmers' market once a month and Food Friday market every four weeks. The town also has a three-screen cinema, leisure centre and a golf course. The open spaces of Westgate Fields and Hubbards Hills are just a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Dominating the skyline is St James Church, which has the tallest medieval parish church spire in England. It is open for visitors and has a coffee shop.
