Cosy self-contained Cotswolds Coach House

Down Ampney is situated between the market towns of Cirencester (5.5 miles) and Fairford (4 miles), right on the edge of Cirencester Water Park and all of its lakes. An abundance of lovely walks, bikes rides and wildlife are your doorstep, and the Coach House is set in the grounds of Home Farm. Surrounded by fields of sheep this is the ideal spot for a couple to relax, immerse themselves in the countryside and explore the Cotswolds. The guest house was recently renovated and contains a large open plan fully equipped kitchen (inc oven, hot plate, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine) / dining / sitting room with TV & Sonos. The generous bedroom and bathroom lead off this room and overlook a small garden. The whole space is underfloor heated and very snug and cosy. The guest house has ample space for parking and small a private garden. We ask that the gates to Home Farm remain closed due to the dogs. We are in between the market towns of Cirencester and Fairford. Cirencester's Charter Markets are held every Monday and Friday - one of the oldest in the country and mentioned in the Domesday Book. The Farmer's Market takes place every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, and the Arts and Crafts Market the 1st Saturday. Fairford's market is held every Wednesday, a smaller affair but with good local produce. Tetbury is 25 minutes away with its multitude of antique shops and nearby Westonbirt Arboretum. The spa town of Cheltenham is 25-30 minute drive. We are lucky to have some very good pubs nearby. The Old Spotted Cow in Marston Mersey is a 40 minute walk across the fields. The Village Pub at Barnsley, Masons Arms in Marston Mersey, The New Inn at Coln, Red Lion in Castle Eaton and Wild Duck at Ewen (currently closed) are all within a 10-15 minute drive. We are also right next to the Lakes and Cotswold Water Park (6 minute drive to Lake 12) and can help recommend activities. Please let me know if you need any advice and I will try and help. You can park directly in front of the Coach House. Please park to the right hand side near the stable. We are happy for guests to bring their own travel cot if they have a 0-2 year old. Preferred check in time is from 3pm and check out 10am, but can we flexible with prior arrangement. No smoking and no parties.
