About the Property. The property has been in the family since five generations. As a result of various successions it belonged to the Bardi´s a feudal and noble family of bankers relatives of the Medici´s, to then return to the Vespucci´s - descendant of the great Amerigo until 1820. Since then, the historic estate has preserved its original wonderful characteristics and authentic Tuscan charm, whilst undergoing a complete renovation and careful restoration phase considering all modern comforts and facilities. Each room has been tastefully furnished and decorated with the finest local materials handmade by Florentine artisans. The extensive secluded grounds ensure privacy and feature walking paths across roses and olive groves, from which excellent Olive Oil is produced every year (guests are welcome to taste it upon arrival). Perfectly kept at all times, the park offers multiple seating areas for al fresco dining and it is ideal for outdoor summer banquets. The structure. Spreading over a surface of about 7,500 square feet, with its 8 charmingly decorated bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, the property can comfortably accomodate up to 16 guests and it is composed of two buildings: the main Villa and the Guest House. On request for an extra cost, we offer the one-level Guest House is about 1000 square feet of floor area and comes with 1 Bedroom with Twin beds (that can be converted into a King on request), 2 bathrooms (1 with bathtub, 1 with shower), an open living/dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Directly connected to the living room, there is also a wonderful terrace with a full set of table and chairs, to dine outside and enjoy the panoramic view. The Pool Area. The villa’s pool area is completely fenced and features a full set of sun loungers, deckchairs and umbrellas, as well as a changing room. Being fully exposed to the sun all day, a large pergola fully furnished with a table and a fridge, is the optimal solution to keep beverages cool during the hot summer days. The size of the pool is 6 x 12m long (19.7 x 39.4 ft). The Location. One of the greatest assets of the villa is its location. In fact, the villa lies just about 6 miles away (approximately 15 mins by car) from the beginning of the historic center of Florence (Porta Romana square) and about 3.5 miles away from the lovely village of Impruneta, famous for its terracotta production. This allows guests to get into the heart of Florence in less than 20 minutes, while also having the chance to easily explore the Chianti region with its many wonderful villages and vineyards (among others Antinori´s wine estate is 13.4 miles away). The Chianti villages such as Greve, Panzano and Castellina in Chianti are all within an easy drive. The Florence Airport (FLR) is about 14 miles away, while the “Santa Maria Novella” train station (Florence’s main train station) is about 7.7 miles distant. The nearest restaurants and grocery stores are about 2.5 miles away.
