Casa da PIM PIM is half a traditional cottage and half an extended construction for vacation in Faial Island, prepared to receive up to 6 people. With a total area of 150 m2, it has the space and commodities required for a relaxing self-catering stay in a remote and quiet location. There is no wifi in the house. The house has two sleeping rooms, bath, big kitchen and living area with direct access to the garden on the backyard. The living room has an area for meals with dinner table and chairs for six people and is equipped with sofas. There is a television set, a DVD player with a selection of movies and a stove for the low season cooler evenings. The house has also a mezzanine with big sofa bed on the first floor, with a big terrace viewing Monte Verde and the sea on the other side. Each sleeping room has a double bed (160 x 200 ) , bedside tables with lamp, a drawer and a wardrobe. The rooms have doors overlooking a small patio . The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, cooking stove, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, cooking utensils, plates, cups and cutlery. You may prepare and serve meals up to 6 persons. There is a complete bath room including bidet and hair dryer. Washing machine, iron and ironing board are available. The garden, outside the kitchen door, has table and chairs allowing for a drink or a meal in the open air. Nearby is a barbeque with a bread/pizza baking oven. On the front yard there is a lawn area. You will be able to access the whole house, except for locked facilities where personal belonging and supplies are kept. I won't be available on the spot, but you will have the name of a contact person for all questions. Casa PimPim is uniquely placed, between Cabeço Verde and the Capelinhos volcano and surrounded by green. You can park directly in front of the main gate and leave the car there. There are two bus stops in walking distance of the village and the bus passes by twice a day. The house is in walking distance of the small village “Norte Pequeno” and the national park and volcano “Capelinhos”. There are 2 larger shops about 5-10 minutes by car, where you can buy groceries and supplies. It will also take you about 10 minutes by car to get to the nearest beach “Praia da Fajã” or one of Faial's natural swimming pools “Caís”. The island's capital Horta (where there is a large supermarket and other facilities) is about 30 minutes by car and the airport is 20 minutes away.
