We are a family of four (Ugandan/Danish) who live in Kampala. We are developing our holiday residence on the slopes of Rwenzori Mountains; it is a simple house with lush gardens and a stunning view. It overlooks the golf course and due to the altitude, is cool and pleasant. Provides easy access to mountain trekking routes and is a 30-45 minute drive to Queen Elizabeth national park and lodges around. At night listen to the buzz of the river from the mountains and Kilembe Mines. You will have access to the whole property and house (2 bedrooms with bathroom), sitting room, kitchen and veranda. The house is simple but provides the amenities which you need. The compound has a parking area, a terraced area with grass and a banana plantation. We have a gardener/security guard residing outside on the premise and two ladies available for all cleaning, cooking and shopping needs. We are in Kampala most of the time, but always available on phone or email. Our two lovely maids are available as you need them (to assist with daily cooking and cleaning; or to leave you in peace and clean upon departure). Kasese is in the tourism belt around Queen Elizabeth and Rwenzori Mountains and provides a cheap alternative to accessing the park; or to stay in a quiet, private home as opposed to the busy and hot hotels in town. We overlook the gulf club and our visitors will be able to walk down and enjoy a drink in the club house. The place is accessible via car and the compound can park 5 cars comfortably. Also accessible via boda-boda or just a short walk down the nearest stage with boda boda and taxi. The house is at the end of a dirt road which can get slippery when it rains, but not with deep mud.
