The Barn Tregeseal

The Barn provides self-contained accommodation in Tregeseal, a picturesque valley in the far west of Cornwall. It is a ten minute walk to the small coastal town of St Just which has excellent shops, pubs, art galleries, cafes. It is perfect for couples or individuals providing an open plan living and kitchen area, a separate wet room and a mezzanine sleeping area. It has an enclosed court yard and garden space. Access is by a side lane and there is street parking outside the property. Electricity is included and heating is by a wood-burning stove and an oil filled electric heater. For winter bookings there is a small charge for wood. Duvets, pillows and bed linen are provided. Please note that I generally ask you to bring your own towels. There is no TV but wi-fi is available. There is a fridge, a microwave and a cooker with a hob. The sleeping area (double bed) is accessed by a narrow, steep staircase which may not be suitable for people with mobility issues or young children. I am happy for you to bring a well behaved dog but do ask that they are not left alone or go onto the furniture. I also ask guests to let me know if they are bringing their dog with them and to bring a crate or their pet’s bedding. The Barn is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a World Heritage Site due to its mining history. It is perfect for walkers, birdwatchers, painters and for all who appreciate the coastline and beaches of West Penwith. The surfing beaches of Sennen and Gwenvor are about fifteen minutes’ drive. St Ives and the Tate Gallery, Geevor Mine, Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole are also within an easy drive. There is no service but a small extra charge for cleaning, but I do ask that you leave The Barn tidy. I’m always happy to answer any questions by email or phone.
