Private, modern & central 3BR apt near Agrigento
Immerse yourself into the quaint Sicilian town of Santa Elisabetta . The house enjoys a central location in the province of Agrigento, catering for guests who have extensive itineraries around the province or for business travelers. Services include free WiFi & fully equipped kitchen. The apartment is a very private, modern living space situated close to amenities and tourist sites. And meet Nina, an awesome host with years of experience in the travel and service industry. The entire apartment can accommodate a big family or group of friends (up to 6 people) - but is also entirely suitable for single travelers or couples who are keen to immerse themselves into Sicilian culture. House details: Ground floor: features a well stocked & equipped kitchen (my friends would say over-equipped), a specious sitting/TV room, and a bathroom w/ shower and modern washing machine. 1st floor: includes the master bedroom w/ a queen-sized bed, its own bathroom w/ shower, copious amount of closet space, and balcony that overlooks Mount Comune. 2nd floor: includes a second main bedroom w/ queen-sized bed, a kid's room w/ two bunker beds, and a second balcony with the same view as the lower one. Guests will be able to enjoy the whole apartment. The entire space plus building amenities are included in this rental. Please, make yourself at home and enjoy great food under the Sicilian sun (although sometimes it does rain!) I am here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. I’m only a phone call/message away. Do not hesitate if you would like more info or advice on where to go or what to do during your stay. As an additional service at a reasonable price, it will be my great pleasure to prepare a variety of hearty Sicilian dishes during your stay. Don't be shy to ask! Like all other towns in Sicily, S. Elisabetta is extremely safe. The population is very small (around 2500 inhabitants). The town is fairly old (founded in 1620) with a charming old town piazza. Key sites of historical significance include: the Mother Church of S. Stefano, characterised by a beautiful facade made with the local stone; and Mount Guastanella, which has an interesting archaeological site on the summit with breathtaking views of Sicily at the top. S. Elisabetta neighbours the town of Raffadali, which is well-known across Italy for producing the highest quality Sicilian pastries and gelato. Looking further afield, the town is roughly 20km away from one of Sicily's most important heritage sites in Agrigento, namely the Valley of Temples, and is around the same distance to the Mediterranean Sea where one can enjoy miles and miles of unspoiled beaches (and no Great Whites) and also visit the breathtakingly beautiful Turkish Steps. S. Elisabetta is roughly a 2-hour drive from the international airports of Palermo, Catania, Trapani and Comiso. The main city of Agrigento is well-connected, reachable by train from Palermo and Catania or by bus from all major cities and hubs around the island. Upon request, a taxi service can be organised. Since it is a small village, public transport is rare and covers few routes. Our advice is to either come by bus or train and hire a car from a local company or come by car so you can move in total liberty. We also offer our guests local produce, pastries and/or jams, depending on the season. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site 24/7.
