This is a Botanists' playground! Nestled on 12+ acres on the beautiful Hamakua Coast. Guests tour and taste organically grown fruits, herbs, eggs, and honey in season. The entire downstairs of our home is for guest use. The bedroom suite has a King sized bed. There's a full service kitchen with stove/oven/ fridge, cooking/ baking pans & dining area, large screen tv in the lounge area with a movie library, and laundry room. We have high speed internet. You can learn how to grow, identify, harvest and process the herbs that are grown here. Teas, tinctures, tonics and vinegars are made from the herbs and fruits of the land. You can take a stroll in the 12+ acre food forest with over two hundred fruit trees. See hawks fly above and hear the wind in the bamboo stands. Float and relax in the pool and watch the clouds pass by. Your rooms are all private and large. Host is available for questions during the day. Can socialize after working hours on the farm. There is a Tuesday Farmers market down the hill in Wailea. , Botanical gardens, waterfalls and zip line adventures, swim with the dolphins and manta rays, recreational beach parks, hiking, many dining and shopping opportunities in Hilo (all within half hour drive). New lava fields and black sand beaches to view. The famous "Uncle Robert's market on Wednesday eve with live Hawaiian music and local foods and crafts abound. (all about an hour drive). There's lots to do, hosts can share more. Public transportation (bus) is available 1.5 miles from the farm which goes to Hilo , a twenty minute drive away. Car rentals is the way to go. Learn how to cook with the foods from the farm. We cook with whatever is in season and we bake fresh bread with herbs to go with it. Fun and yummy! You can also get married here as I am licensed to marry couples. All are welcome!
