Return to nature with comfort and ease. The perfect eco retreat in our off grid wooden cabin or luxury bell tents. Nestled within the enormous magical gardens of a private estate. Relax and unwind in the serenity of our wild spa with only pheasants and deer as neighbours! We are located in the heart of Sussex -Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Excellently located, only 30 miles from central London and 45 mins Brighton The perfect getaway to return to a sense of Peace and Tranquility. The perfect staycation , so close to London and Brighton , yet feels like a million miles away. Social distancing and bubble friendly holidays. It IS possible to hire the entire glade to yourselves and have it as a private party/family gathering. Please message me for details. Our Enchanted glade is set in a magical garden in the middle of a working farm on a plateau in the High Weald, intersected by deep wooded valleys with sandstone outcrops. We are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, yet within 10 miles of Gatwick and 35 miles of Central London. Our gardens comprise some rare and exotic Himalayan species, first laid out in 1865. The avenue of Californian Redwoods includes some of the tallest trees in England. And our woods contain bluebells, mosses, lichens and briophytes amongst spectacular sandstone outcrops WE OFFER: -1 Wooden Cabin, Sleeps 4 (2 adults,2 children) - There is a sofa that can be used as a bed and one Inflatable mattress. -The cabin has its own private Basic kitchen plus Barbecue outside. Please note that this IS a 'Tiny house' and for larger families, the tents are a better option. See our alternative listing for the tents. * 3x Luxury Bell tents with furniture and decor, decking and wood burners. Very comfortable and cosy.... Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children (single mattresses for the kids, please bring sleeping bags!) -WOOD FIRED HOT TUB under the Stars [seats 6] available for TWO HOUR SLOTS for an extra £45, Booking in advance required. -'Missing link' brewery and cafe are onsite and open every weekend with different food vans and events. Check their website for specific details. -Our 'WILD SPA' - Massage-Full body oil or Thai Yoga massage, Nature connection, Life coaching, Creative arts workshops, Booking in advance. -FORAGING/WILD Banquet experience with our fully insured and very experienced local forager- Fergus Drennon who writes regularly on wild food and foraging for BBC Countryfile Magazine, The Ecologist, Country Kitchen, Bushcraft and Survival Skills Magazine, as well as contributing and/or featuring in many other magazines including most national newspapers. He has also appeared on TV. -Shared Compost toilet with Hot shower in the Redwood forest. -Shared fire pit for all to enjoy. -There is an undercover basic kitchen with sink, running water, gas cooker, Basic utensils and BBQ for the campers. -There are so many beautiful walks to explore locally. (within our boundaries and on public pathways) - Boulders and caves to explore. - Paintball and clay pigeon shooting is available onsite and there are so many local attractions (see our FB page for regular updates) - Excellently located in the middle of so many wonderful local attractions including two reservoirs and Ashdown Forest. See my 'guestbook'. Please note: Although bedding is provided, TOWELS ARE NOT-please bring your own. Tea and coffee is provided but not breakfast. Enough wood to heat the cabin for both evenings is provided, additional wood costs £10 a sack. There is currently no fridge available, please bring a cool box if required. There is lighting and a USB port in the cabin, but other than that there is no electricity. PLEASE NOTE , it is a 10 min walk from the parking spot to the site. We will meet you with our 4x4 on arrival and help you with bags to and from the site, plus offer wheelbarrows. Bring suitable comfortable walking shoes and clothing for all weathers. There are many private and public pathways that you will be able to access from our glade. Also, as we are on a private estate, there is a security gate , this will be locked after 11pm. We have 2 camp managers who will be onsite at all times. We are not staying onsite but you can call us at any moment with any questions. We have Missing link Brewery onsite that is open all weekend and has different meal vans offering unique and delicious cuisine. Check out their website for up to date details. There is a FULL range of local attractions from various National Trust sites, Kingcote vinery to The Bluebell railway. Deers Leap and the 2 local reservoirs both have activity centres. The historical towns of East Grinstead, Tunbridge wells and Lewes are all within a half an hour drive. Brighton and a range of beautiful beaches are accessible within 45 mins. There are no bus services that bring you directly to us but we are a 5 minute taxi ride from East Grinstead station, 10 mins from Forest Row and about 15 minutes from Haywards Heath station. -It is possible to book a veg or breakfast hamper in advance (£25 from the local farm) or to have meals delivered, please let us know if you are interested in this. -There is a local co op shop in Shaprthorne village which is 5 mins drive. There is also a village shop with local, organic produce. -Plawhatch Biodynamic farm shop is open 6 days a week and is 10 mins drive. - Forest Bathing- Our compost toilet and HOT shower is a 1 min walk from the cabin. *WILD SPA* -Private Wood fired hot tub under the stars - £45 per 2 hr session [can seat 6 people] -Full Body MASSAGE, Deep tissue or Thai yoga massage available onsite for £55 pp. This can include a cupping therapy session. *Wood fired sauna - £45 per session * -Wild food foraging and fireside cooking experience=Includes nature awareness exercises, some basic bushcraft skills 1.5 hr walk exploring the area and learning about edible and medicinal plants, PLUS A delicious meal cooked on the fire including all the foraged items. £200 for up to 6 people. -Please note that we welcome acoustic music by the fire, but drums, speakers and sound system's are not allowed. We must ensure peace and tranquillity for ALL our guests and the people who live on site. *There is an 11pm curfew in terms of music in the glade and also returning back onsite. The security gate will be locked after this. * * After some bad experiences, we have sadly decided to be a NO DOG site, we are truly sorry for those we cannot accommodate as a result of this.
