The March Hare is a beautiful self contained annexe set within the grounds of the owners home, located in the pretty village of Poulton. Professionally Interior Designed and finished to a high standard The March Hare is fully equipped with all the amenities one may require and provides comfort, peace and relaxation. Surrounded by fields guests can enjoy splendid walks, cycling, exploring neighbouring Cotswold villages and towns with a good choice of eateries from gastro pubs to fine dining. Set above the owners car barn, The March Hare guarantees rest and relaxation and the perfect base from which to explore The Cotswolds. Set off a quiet country lane, The March Hare shares a private gated driveway with the owner The owners, Andrew and Dean, are available at all times ( at the very least by telephone). They will be happy to advise on walks, cycle routes, places of interest and local pubs and restaurants. A useful guide will be emailed upon confirmation of booking and further information left in The March Hare. Poulton is a beautiful village set in the south Cotswolds, in the county of Gloucestershire. Just 6 miles from the market town of Cirencester and 3 miles from Fairford ( host of the worlds largest military air show, The Royal International Air Tattoo) Poulton is ideally situated to explore the local area. Charming surrounding villages include The Ampneys, Meysey Hampton, Down Ampney, Quenington, Coln St Aldwyns, Barnsley, Southrop and Bibury. For those wising to venture further afield, Bourton on the Water, The Slaughters, Stow on the Wold, Tetbury, Cheltenham and The Cotswold Water Park are highly recommended. Badminton Horse Trials are also a popular visit for the equestrian enthusiasts. The village gastro pub The Falcon Inn is within walking distance of The March Hare (booking recommended at weekends). It serves both locally brewed cask ales and has an extensive wine list. Classic English fare is also served using locally grown and sourced ingredients. The March Hare is located in a village setting and therefore a car is recommended for which there is private secure parking. If you are celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary please let us know and we will be happy to organise a bottle of bubbles, chocolates or flowers for a small additional surcharge. We will consider a small well behaved dog for an additional charge of £10 per night. Most pubs are very dog friendly in the area so we kindly request dogs are not left alone in The March Hare or allowed on the furniture.
