Parv's Place
Conveniently situated in a small village in rural Picardy, our appartment, next to our main house, is easily accesible from both the A1 and A16 motorways. The village itself is very quiet, with clean air, clear skies and great for long walks or bike rides. The modern appartment is light and airy. Although ideal for an overnight stop on the way to more well-known holiday destinations, we're only an hour or so from Paris, the beautiful Somme Bay and the Somme battlefields are all around. A former farm building, the sapce has been converted into light and airy apartment, with high ceilings and lots of floor space. The original beams from the house's construction in 1923 have been kept to keep a rustic feel, but with all the comforts of modern accommodation. The apartment is self-contained, with private access from the street, you can come and go as you please. There is a separate kitchen area, bathroom with shower, and a mezzanine space for two extra sleepers. Ideally, the apartment is for two adults, but a family of four, or two couples, can be very comfortable here. Any questions, just ask me! For acces from the north , take either the A16 from Calais and turn off at Essertaux - about two hours drive. The Roye turnoff on the A1 (junction 12) gves access from the Lille area. From Paris, take the A1 to Ressons-sur-Matz (junction 11) and follow signs to Montdidier - we're 9 kms further along the D930. Access map available on request! Quiet village, it's a very rural area - you're more likely to get woken up by passing tractors than noisy neighbours. You'll appreciate the tranquility, and above all, the clear skies (telescope available for stargazers!) Bugger all here in the village, you need a car. Or a bike, if you're that way inclined. Nearest town (supermarket) 9kms. 7 kms to railway station to Paris, about 45mins to TGV station.
