Hurstwood Farm Camping Pod

Hurstwood Farm is a peaceful farm site located in the gorgeous Sussex countryside in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Double bed and bedding included, camping stove, kettle, plates, mugs, utensils and cutlery, saucepan x2 and frying pan, cool box with frozen ice blocks, solar for charging phones included. Bring your own towels. Max 1 dog £25 extra per stay. You must let us know when you will arrive as you will be transported by golf buggy from the parking area. A secluded spot set half a mile back from the nearest road. This spacious 80-acre site is a lovingly-managed wildlife haven – the perimeter of each field here has a wild strip that's been totally left to nature, while the hedges are cut only every three to four years to enable birds to settle down and raise their broods. Deer can frequently be seen prancing through Hurstwood Farm's 20 acres of wild woodland so keep your eyes peeled for roe, fallow and muntjac species. Facilities here include toilets, hot showers and a washing-up corner. Seasonal local produce is sold on site, as is wood for the firepits that can be hired on site (please don't bring your own firepit). £15 per bag of logs and £10 for each firepit. Maximum 1 dog £15 payable on arrival please bring your own dog bed/basket. A damges/breakages returnable deposit is required on arrival of £100 and returnable 5-7 days following your departure. Arrival times must be notified before arrival so we can transport you by golf buggy to the field with your luggage . The farm is an 80 acre estate and you are able to explore the fields and woodlands. Please stay out of any fields with livestock and horses in. It's half a mile from here to the nearest pub, a popular joint that the site owners heartily recommend. Locally sourced food hampers are available as well as a small camp shop. Provisions for self-catered meals can be picked up at one of the supermarkets in Crowborough or Uckfield (15 minutes' drive), where there's also a leisure centre. We are very rural, nearest train station is Buxted 10 minutes by car.
