The Lodge Grade II cottage in centre of Burford
The Lodge is a two bedroom cottage, with one bathroom with a bath shower, it can sleep up to 4 people, the bedrooms have there own style, the first bedroom has a king size bed, with a window looking out over Burford High Street and over the roofs to the church and the valley. The second bedroom has two single beds. Large open plan living, kitchen, dining area and a sitting room with TV A communal garden can be found at the back of the property, it is lawned and is available to all guests that are staying at 152 The Hill. When you step outside the property, you are metres away from a newsagent, a butcher, a deli, a chemist, restaurants, pubs, a little further down is the Co-op shop. It is a brilliant place to stay as a base to explore the Cotswolds, with many places to visit. We are available to answer any questions during your stay Bibury - 10 minutes, the famous Arlington Row and Bibury trout farm Bourton-on-the-Water 15 minutes,- regularly voted one of the prettiest village in England, Birdland Park and Gardens and The Model Village Oxford 30 minutes – what can we say – full of history, Universities, beautiful buildings, museums, the Ashmolean, Pitt Rivers and many others, plus of course theatres. Upper and Lower Slaughter 20 Minutes – ‘a wander alongside the stream seems like a privilege.’ Stow on the Wold 25 minutes - At one end stands the ancient cross, and at the other the town stocks, shaded between an old elm tree. Broadway 35 minutes - the village also has an interesting artistic heritage which includes some well known artists, writers, and performing artists such as William Morris, John Singer Sargent, Francis D Millet, J.M. Barrie and Mary Anderson. Stratford-upon-Avon 45 minutes – the home of Shakespeare and theatres Bath – 60 minutes – known for its natural hot springs and 18th-century Georgian architecture. Honey-coloured Bath stone has been used extensively in the town’s architecture, including at Bath Abbey, noted for its fan-vaulting, tower and large stained-glass windows. The museum at the site of the original Roman-era Baths includes The Great Bath, statues and a temple. Cheltenham 30 minutes – race course, architecture and shopping Cotswold Wildlife Park – 5 minutes
