Fieldview Farmhouse B&B - The Buzzard Room

We welcome our guests from all cultures, counties, countries and personal stories to Fieldview Farmhouse. We sincerely hope that our guests enjoy sharing our idyllic home, which, as the name suggests is absolutely surrounded by very large fields with extremely far reaching views and the famous, massive Norfolk skies. We are proud to share our unique friendly home which we have spent quite some time renovating, to bring the traditional rural Farmhouse with a touch of luxury contemporary living. Fieldview Farmhouse offers peace and tranquility in beautiful countryside, set in its own four acres of land, down its own long drive of just under a quarter of a mile from the lane, it is just outside the village of Colkirk and only three miles from Fakenham town which offers a wide range of shops and places to eat and have a drink. Fakenham has its own Race course and Golf club. Thursday is market day, where you can get the feel of a rural town at its busiest and have a look around the market, which sells just about everything and then there is an auction room which sells all manner of items from bric a brac to antiques, lawn mowers to violins. The Thursford collection and Christmas show is about fifteen minutes away. The Georgian town of Holt, roughly twenty five minutes and then there is the North Norfolk coast to explore. There are endless things to entertain everyone of all ages. At Fieldview Farmhouse, we offer a double bedroom on the first floor of the farm house. The Buzzard Room offers a very comfy, luxury King size bed in a south facing large room, which boasts far reaching views over open countryside, an ensuite shower room with top of the range Aqualisa pressure shower, heated towel rail/radiator and a large built in wardrobe, dressing table and a smart TV. Hot refreshment making facilities. Hair dryer, Shampoo, Shower gel and Hand wash. There is also an iron and ironing board provided in the room. Luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and high end towels are provided. Towels are changed on the third day and linen weekly or on request. Internet wifi is provided. Our guests will be shown to their private room on arrival and encouraged to settle in. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and let us know of any dietary requirements. You enter the Farmhouse by the front door, the stairs take you straight to your secure and lockable room. There is a door from the hallway to the main part of the ground floor of the Farmhouse, when this is open we encourage our guests to come through and enjoy the garden room. When it is closed we ask that you knock as though it were our front door and we will gladly help you in anyway we can. We will be present most of the time of your visit as we live in the farmhouse. We do keep animals, so we may be outside or might have to pop out but we are contactable at any time on the mobile phone number that you have for us, we are 100% dedicated to providing you with anything that will possibly make your stay enhanced. Please feel at ease when sharing with us, just ask! We are very rural, very quiet but within walking distance of the village along the lane (Just under a mile) which has a pub serving Pub grub. You will need a torch at night as there are no street lights. There are many walks from Fieldview Farm, which will take you through field after field. Bird watching is a main attraction. Another is the hidden ruins of All Saint's church, in the distant woods. A car is a must, if you wish to venture further afield. Local transport is non existent. We keep horses, donkeys, Norfolk terriers, farm yard dogs and re-homed outside semi feral cats (From London) and very free range Ex - Battery hens who work very hard to provide the very best eggs we hope you will have ever tasted. We offer a choice of cereals, toast, yoghurts and refreshments for our guests. We pride ourselves with our Traditional English breakfast, all of the ingredients are sourced as locally as possible and are of the highest quality in the county. Please let us know when booking of any dietary requirements and we will do our best to cater. We serve breakfast at 8.00 to 9.00 am in the garden room.
