Restored windmill with modern comfort, kitchen, BBQ and garden in a very quiet and green region.Close to parcours "Tour of Flanders" Brugge, Gent, Bxl , Lille less than 1 h driving.3 Nights minimum. The Giant of Horebeke is a restored windmill in Sint Kornelis Horebeke, which lays in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes . Cycling fans will have heard or know the region because of the Tour of Flanders. They pass every year near the Giant of Horebeke. The Molenberg , Berendries , Valkenberg ... they are all near the Hoogkouter Mill. The interior is sober and soothing but all modern amenities are available . In the windmill there are 5 beds, 1 double bed on the first floor and three twin beds on the second floor. The kitchen is equipped with all amenities including: a 6-burner Smeg stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher . On the ground floor there is a lounge and dining area for 5 persons and a bathroom with shower and toilet. For the restoration of the windmill we haveused ecological and sustainable materials whenever was possible. The quilts are made of organic cotton with Alpaca wool which contains no lanolin . This way, mite has no chance so they are ideal for people with allergies and asthma . TV and internet are available. The Giant of Horebeke has a fully shielded hedge of 13 acres. There is a terrace with BBQ and patio furniture . Pets are not a problem. Bicycles can be provided . The region is known for its panoramic views, wide meadows, a large number of water - and windmills, but also by the Geuzenhoek (Korzele) with its Protestant community and its ancient cemetery . The graveyard of Korzele is well worth a visit with its 150 year old weeping beech and memorial of William I. Nearby is also the museum and birthplace of Abraham Abraham Hans . Oudenaarde ( 15 min), Ghent (30 min), Bruges (1 h) Brussels (30 min) and Antwerp (45 min) are nearby. The whole garden I'm there to welcome them. Horebeke is a quiet village with but a lot of cities are at 30 min driving (Ghent, Brussels...)
