A Greek Village By The Sea.
The apartment has original decor and fittings but the bed, pillows and bedding are always fresh and/or new. The large living area accommodates another double bed making it suitable for a child or another couple, although there is another, similar apartment directly above this property. It is a 1 x bedroom apartment that has another double bed in the living room so it could suit 2 x couples or a couple with a child. The apartment is fully equipped, it is un-renovated but spotless. The apartment is one of 6. Two Greek families live in other flats and it's a farming community so you will hear tractors and dogs but you'll also hear the bread man toot his horn every morning delivering fresh bread to the locals and vegetable and fish vendors let you know they're in the area as well. Amanda will be your host. She's my gorgeous niece who is fluent in English and her father speaks Greek and French. Amanda will arrange for any special requirements. There are 3 tavernas all within a 5 minute walk. There's a general store and the beach is generally crystal clear and flat. You will need appropriate footwear (e.g. Crocs) to get into and out of the water. The village has many visual attractions and 2 tavernas are open late, often with live music. Around the village you won't need a car. But if you want to go into the nearest town, Egio (sometime called Egion or Agio - it's Greek) there's a regular bus up until 1 pm and taxis from Egio back to the village are approx 10 euro. In the summer most places enjoy a siesta from 2pm to 5pm so this is the time for you to have the beach to yourself or recharge your batteries. The property doesn't have wifi but the taverna that is just a 2 minute walk away (open early til late) has free internet so buy a Freddo cappuccino or an ouzo and take care of any business while enjoying the water and atmosphere. The farmers start early, so we just ask that there is no loud music late into the night.
