Hathersage, Peak District cottage - dog friendly

Curlew Cottage, near Hathersage and Bamford is in the heart of the Peak District. On the edge of Stanage Moor with views of Mam Tor, Stanage Edge and across the Hope Valley. Surrounded by National Trust land, guests can enjoy stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. Enjoy walking, running, biking, bird-watching and climbing directly from the cottage. Only a half hour stroll into Hathersage or Bamford villages with their fine pubs, restaurants, shops and rail links. We welcome well behaved dogs. Curlew Cottage belongs to Outlane Farm in the tiny hamlet of Outseats. We live in the farmhouse next door, and local residents live in 2 other properties closeby. Guests have use of shared facilities including a hot tub, pool table and indoor climbing wall. We can provide fresh eggs from our hens, and firewood for the log burner. We can help you with outdoorsy local knowledge too. Curlew Cottage has a beautiful terrace to enjoy the sunset, birds swooping and passing cyclists and walkers, and the farmhouse garden is lovely spot for a picnic or BBQ or drink in the hot tub. We hope that guests will feel self sufficient during their stay but we will do everything that we can to ensure their stay in Curlew Cottage at Outlane Farm is as relaxing as possible. We have unrivalled views across the Hope Valley, Stanage Edge and across to Mam Tor. Although located on a footpath this is a relatively undiscovered by tourists, but is a well kept secret by village locals. Easy to drive to us. The Peak District is in the middle of the UK. There are regular trains from Sheffield and Manchester and we can collect you and your bags from the station. It's an idyllic half hour stroll into Hathersage along a quiet country lane, popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Hathersage outdoor pool is heated to 28 degrees almost all year - so bring your bathers!
