Fabulous mini apartment just a few minutes walk from the town centre. With a combined bedroom/living room, shower room and compact kitchen area with microwave oven, fridge, freezer, teas, coffees and breakfast cereals. There are books, board games and a Smart TV/Radio. On street parking is only 10m from the front door. There's seating in the garden with views into the valley. The space is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before your visit. The Cabin' is quirky and cosy. Simply gorgeous! We have converted the ground floor of our home, an 1850's Yorkshire stone terraced house, into a cosy and quirky mini apartment. There’s seating outside in a garden area and fantastic views of Hebden Bridge and the valley. We would like to assure all guests that, particularly at this time of coronovirus, your stay at The Cabin will be safe and enjoyable. Between guests The Cabin will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, following Air BNB guidelines due to coronavirus. Bedding and towels will be washed in high temperatures, frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected. You can request to use the washer and dryer if need be. We have comfy chairs so you can watch TV or enjoy the amazing view over Hebden Bridge town. There are books, games, DVDs, TV, radio and a small kitchen. We provide milk, snacks, cereals and a full range of teas and coffees. Hebden Bridge is a rural town in a beautiful valley offering amazing views over woods and moors. You can walk or cycle directly from The Cabin up hills to Stoodley Pike ( look for the Honesty Hut) or Hardcastle Craggs. There are scenic flatter routes along canals and rivers. If it’s warm enough there is seating outside The Cabin. All the best from your hosts, Stella and Toby You have your own front door entrance and you are completely self contained. There is one step into the lobby area, and then one more step into the bedroom/living room. The main studio apartment is all one level. We live above your apartment so we are on hand if you need us for anything. Otherwise you are completely independant from our part of the house. Guests access their own key from the key safe next to The Cabin door. In Hebden Bridge we pride ourselves on acceptance and inclusion. The 'village' has many amenities you would normally find in a city (theatre, independent cinema, railway station) but within a beautiful country setting. The village has 3 rivers and one canal, and many small woods. There are festivals and events throughout the year. To find out more contact the tourist information web site or Hebden’s own web site: HEB WEB The valley is superb for cycling and walking plus it has a lively cafe culture and a variety of wine bars and pubs with quirky independent shops and art galleries. Nearby are Howarth, Heptsonstall, Holmfirth, Todmorden and Halifax with the fantastic Piece Hall and Anne Listers home, Shibden Hall, all worth a visit. The apartment is a 10 minute walk from town on a slight incline. The centre of town is generally flat and easy to get around. You can walk everywhere in Hebden bridge and it has direct train links to Bradford, Halifax, Leeds and Manchester. Buses , taxis or electric bikes hired from the tourist information office will get you to local towns of Todmorden, Howarth and Heptonstall (the resting place of Sylvia Plath and leader of the coiners, David Hartley). There are many restaurants, pubs and cafes with various specialities including, Thai, Kurdish, Greek, Italian, plus The Old Gate does a range of meals but may require a booking on popular nights. Out of town there are many walks across the hills and nearer the centre there are lovely canal and river walks. Minimum stay 2 nights at weekends, you can contact us to request one night as an exception. 1 night Minimum stay Sunday to Thursday. Amenities: All the basics for your visit are provided including cooking oil, toiletries (shampoo etc), bedding, tea towels, towels, plus a range of teas, coffee, milk, cordials, some cereals and snacks. There is no need to do a big shop as these will get you through your first morning before you visit a cafe for a full breakfast! The Co-op store is only a 5 minute walk away. There is an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, extension lead with USB ports and other extras to make your stay easy and comfortable. Including a real flame effect fire for instant heat in addition to the central heating. There are two small folding tables stored in the lobby with an extra folding office chair. Please note that the bed, chairs, shower and particularly the toilet are standard pieces of household furniture. They are not suitable for heavy people, the suggested weight limit on the 2 person bed would be 100kg per person. There is no private parking but onroad parking is always available near to The Cabin.
