Beautiful Sussex Retreat

Steephill Studio is a self-contained, detached building, with a modern kitchen and shower room downstairs and a large sitting room leading into a bedroom area - Perfect for solo travellers or couples. The Studio has Sky TV and SuperFast broadband to aid working from home. There is off-road parking and your own patio area for enjoying the garden. The Studio is accessed via the garden gate and has its own security light, path and stable door. Dogs are welcome to stay for an extra fee of £50. The space is situated in a large garden, which guests also have use of - this is our place of zen so we ask guests to be respectful of the neighbourhood, and our little guard dog - Thomas the fluffy Cockapoo. The location is perfect for people looking to get into East Grinstead, Crawley, Gatwick Airport, the M23/M25 and the surrounding areas while also benefiting from being away from built up areas. We have a private driveway which guests are asked to use, we might require access to the garage so ask that you use the right hand side of the drive as you drive in (closest to the main house) We are right next door to assist if needed. The neighbourhood is residential and with many lovely walks straight from the house. The iron ore from the lake up the road was used in the making of cannon balls for use in the Spanish Armada. There are no street lights, and we are on private roads. We are 15 minutes from Wakehurst Place, Standen House, Ardingly Show Ground. The Ashdown Forest is only 15 minutes away and we are on the Surrey and East Sussex borders. London is 40 minutes by train via Three Bridges Station or East Grinstead which are 5 miles respectively. Brighton is a 30 minute drive. Bus stops are within a 15-minute walk. Our local garage stocks most things, but we are within a 5-minute drive of M&S and Londis, 10 minutes from Waitrose, Aldi and Sainsburys. It is best to have a car whilst here. We are very friendly and social and like to meet guests on arrival to make sure you are checked in and happy. We have a cuddly 5 year old cockapoo who may bark on your arrival but is likely to greet you with a smile and relax very quickly. We ask that if you are bringing pets you let us know beforehand so that we can prep the space. The garden is fully enclosed so should be pet friendly.
