The Annex

The Annex is a very special place to stay.....We should know we used to live here. It's open plan sitting room come cinema needs to be seen to be believed. The Annex has a light airy feel to it the moment you enter. Enter through the double patio doors from your personal patio space. Enter the sitting room with its high open plan high ceilings with multiple velux windows and woodburning stove. The adjoining well equipped galley kitchen should cater for most guests needs. Walking through this area leads to the bedroom with king-size zip and link (allowing it to convert into two singles if required) and ensuite shower room and toilet. The underfloor heating will keep you warm no matter the weather. The Annex has a fully functioning Cinema projector and Dolby surround sound system for use by the guests with quite a large choice of films to watch. So relax into the leather sofa and watch a great film whilst warming yourselves with the wonderful woodburner. The patio has chairs, tables and a gas BBQ for guests to relax and enjoy. Guests access the property via a block paved driveway leading to the Annex's patio. Enter the property via the low step patio doors. We live on site at Foxworthy Hamlet so are available to answer any questions or queries. The Annex is part of our little Foxworthy Hamlet that nestles next to Bowood Estate and surrounding rolling hills of Wiltshire. The original Foxworthy cottage on this site dates from the 17th century and was originally a Blacksmiths cottage and Forge, situated then as now, next to the old London to Bath road. We are surrounded by quality Public Houses and restaurants, the Black Dog literally next door, offering excellent Gurkha cuisine. We are luckily well served by the Stagecoach bus company and on the direct route to either at Chippenham or Swindon train stations, so Bath or London can be reached easily by public transport. Walking or cycling are popular pastimes around here. We are happy to offer plenty of help and guidance to explore the many amazing historical sites and beautiful places within our locality. These include Lacock, Avebury, Bowood Estate and Bath to name just a few. As previously mentioned we are located next to the Old London road , now known as the A4 which can at certain times be noisy at peak times. The Annex has modern double glazing so noise is kept to a minimum.
