Eclectic retreat near Newmarket
Picturesque flint barn conversion situated in the heart of the quiet village of Woodditton which has a good traditional pub with restaurant (The Blackbirds Inn) and is surrounded by lovely country walks. Stylishly restored to a very high standard the cowshed has everything you need... 1double/twin bedroom, sofa bed in the studio, shower room with basin and wc, kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, hob and oven, large studio living and dining area with TV, DVD and radio. Wireless Internet access available Linen, towels, heating and water are included. The Old Cowshed is attached via the south facing conservatory to a circa 1700 flint and brick farmhouse. Guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious and sunny conservatory which leads off the living studio room. The property has a large frontage, plenty of space to park cars, grass and alfresco area for guests to relax, weather permitting. I would meet the guests, show them around and then leave them to enjoy their stay. Very happy to chat and advise them on things to see and do locally if they wish. 3 miles from Newmarket with its horse racing connection. 12 miles from the university city of Cambridge and historic market town of Bury St Edmunds. 16 miles from the cathedral city of Ely Ivan the 'village taxi man' is always willing to drive people around. There is a train station in Newmarket, the train goes to Cambridge in one direction with a connection to London and the other way goes to Ipswich via Bury St Edmunds. The trains go every hour. I have a very friendly and handsome dog who is very good with children
