Cosy double room with a standard 4'6" double bed, en-suite shower and a glorious view across the marina. Tea and coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer and free WiFi access are available in the room, which has direct access onto the small garden and patio with a table and chairs. Complimentary continental breakfast is included but during the current Coronavirus pandemic, breakfast will be left on a tray outside the room each morning . On-drive parking is available for guests. You can arrive for your visit by boat (maximum length 25ft/7m) and take advantage of the pontoon at the end of the garden, on foot via the Thames path on the opposite side of the river, or by car and park on the drive - the choice is yours! However you arrive, take some time to relax and soak up the wonderful views from the property, which is surrounded by nature, yet a very convenient base for visits across Oxfordshire and within easy commuting distance to London. The listing is for a double room in a private home. In order to comply with Government advice regarding social distancing, no other areas of the house are currently available to guests for the duration of the Coronavirus outbreak. Guests are welcome to use the small garden leading to the marina, which can be accessed directly from the room, but please respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum! The closest restaurants are in Abingdon town centre which is a short drive or a 20 minute well-lit and paved walk along the river. POLITE REMINDER! The house is located on a marina next to a wildlife lake and the river Thames. There is easy access to the stunning Thames Path and a picturesque 20 minute walk along the river takes you to the centre of Abingdon with its variety of shops, riverside pubs and places to eat. - Nearest mainline railway station: Didcot Parkway (20 minute drive) Direct rail line to London Paddington - Oxford railway station: 24 minutes by road - A short walk/drive into Abingdon town centre - Frequent buses from Abingdon town centre to Oxford city centre - Nearby A34 for quick and easy access southbound to the M4 motorway and northbound to Oxford and the M40 motorway The property is accessed by steps and narrow access to the room so unfortunately is not suitable for wheelchairs. The room has direct access to deep water. Due to the layout of the house, its staircases and its proximity to water, this listing is not suitable for babies, toddlers or children.
