2 New Row is part of a terrace of cottages numbering 6 built around 1810. The 2 storey cottage has a long front garden, recently redesigned, and a parking space off the lane. The cottage is constructed of Cotswold limestone, under a tiled roof and features original stone mullioned windows. It is Grade 2 Listed and in a Conservation area, and as such, has the appearance and ambiance of when it was built some 200 years ago. We also have an excellent pub, The Craven Arms immediately opposite. Accomodation suitable for 2 couples, 1 couple or a couple with children Upstairs, main bedroom, 2nd bedroom and generous size bathroom with excellent water pressure and shower. Downstairs, cosy sitting room with huge Inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, kitchen, cloakroom, utility/workspace and small dining hall. There is an extremely nice typical English pub opposite the cottage called the Craven Arms, serving drinks all day and delicious meals at lunchtime and in the evening. Brockhampton itself is a lovely village clinging to the side of the Cotswold escarpment, above Cheltenham, surrounded by hills offering lovely walks, bike rides and picnic spots. Other Cotswold villages close by, are well known iconic destinations such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden, Broadway, Winchcombe and Stow-on-the-Wold. Above the village, a colony of Barn Owls have made their home, and at dusk there are regular sightings of these gorgeous creatures. We have self check-in at the cottage, and we are on hand by phone or email to answer questions or offer help to our guests. Richard Brooks looks after the cottage for us and he is on hand to handle any queries you may have His contact details are inside the cottage in the look book Brockhampton is a small safe friendly village with a mix of local residents and visitors. There is a postbox, but no shop, the nearest being Andoversford, 3 miles distant. We have our lovely and friendly pub within 2oo yards from the cottage. If you don't feel like cooking or need some company they are pleased to oblige! Guests will need a car to explore the gorgeous countryside, but avid bikers and walkers will also enjoy the freedom and views of the many surrounding footpaths, lanes and tracks. There is a returning bus into Cheltenham once a day, and plenty of taxis. The nearest mainline station is Cheltenham Spa, while Moreton in Marsh direct into Paddington takes approx. 1.5 hrs. There are lovely walks all around over the Cotswold Hills, and the cottage is only 7 miles from all the facilities Cheltenham has to offer. Iconic Cotswold villages and towns are in close proximity with a wealth of country gastro pubs. Numerous Music and Literature Festivals take place within and around Cheltenham, and the centre of National Hunt Racing is at Cheltenham Racecourse
