Hudson River Romantic Cozy Forest & Marsh Setting

Peak Fall Season!! Our house sits right on the Hudson River Marsh facing Tallman Mountain and just a walk to the pier. 18 miles from Central Manhattan. Surrounded by woods, creeks, rivers, wild life . The ultimate romantic get away. Biking, hiking, fishing, kayaking swimming. Tallman mountain pool is walking distance from my house, through the forest in beautiful natural setting. Our space is a whimsical romantic treasure 15 miles outside of Manhattan. 11 miles from the George Washington Bridge. Our house is a 2 bedroom , (only 1 bedroom usable except on long term rentals, 1 week or more), cottage sitting on the Hudson River Marsh. You can hop a bus to Manhattan or walk and explore the town which is only 1 street. Piermont is the ultimate get away. Close to the city. 45 minutes by car or bus. This is actually the town that Woody Allen filmed Purple Rose of Cairo. Our house sits on the marsh and is at the entrance to Tallman Mountain and steps from the pier. You can also rent kayaks or boats on our street and we have Tallman Mountain pool which does have a daily rate, you don't have to be a member. The pool is set in the mountain overlooking the Hudson. (URL HIDDEN) ...Please note that our house and waterfront property are separated by Paradise Avenue , our street. So you will have to walk across the street to get to the water. You can see from the photos that the street separates our house from our property on the water. Please note that you are welcome to hang out on the grass on our waterfront property but it is not a secluded area. Please check the photos. Please note that this is not a private street. Please note that there is a house on the left of us and a house to the right of us. The pier is not a private pier. All Piermont residents are allowed to use the pier and Tallman State Park is a state park which means that everyone has access to it. The pier is located on the widest part of the Hudson River and you can walk nearly a mile out into the middle of the Hudson which is stunning at sunrise and sunset. Piermont pier has an abundance of wildlife. You can easily spot an eagle and from time to time in the winter you can find the elusive Snowy Owl. Please note also that this space is not a hotel. We live in the space when not renting it out. Our belongings are still in the house, ie. we have clothes in the closet. My husband is a musician so his instruments are in the house, our books, etc. This is an airbnb in the truest sense it is not a hotel. The space also has a full digital and analog recording studio that can be booked for recording. This must be specified at the time of booking. For an additional charge we provide an engineer. Our house is a two bedroom. 1 of the bedrooms is a recording studio so that room is not available although you will have the whole house to yourself that room is not a usable room. Our bedroom is for 2 people and if you want to have a third or 4th guest we have a couch and roll out beds. Our house has a gas fireplace. We have a full kitchen with a washer and dryer. Bathtub and shower. We provide all the necessities such as shampoo, conditioner, soap which is all paraban and sulfate free.. All cleaning supplies that we use are non toxic and natural. We clean with essential oils and other products that will not hurt you, your children, or pets. The house is home to an artist so it is decorated with lots of art and interesting artifacts. This is a very whimsical romantic cottage. Truly a great get away. Easy to walk to any of the great restaurants on the main street. We have 3 bikes you are welcome to use. The great thing about our place is that you can hike, fish, bike during the day and at night have walk into town for a romantic wonderful dinner at one of the great restaurants on Piermont Avenue or you can hop the bus and go into the city for the evening. Many people enjoy renting a car and exploring the Hudson Valley especially during late September October and November while the seasons are changing. Below are some recommendations I have for food. The food is decent but not amazing but I really love the ambience. Burgers and fries are amazing. Freelance- 506 Piermont Avenue Love this place. Get there around 5:30. I don’t think they take resos. This is a little pricey but really nice. Great ambience. If restaurant is full you can eat at the bar which is in the dining room. Xavier’s (changed it's name but next door to Freelance) Need reso’s . Expensive. This was Peter Kelly’s restaurant. I believe he sold it but I think it is still really good. At one time this was rated the number 11 restaurant in the country. What does that mean? Who knows!! O Lar 587 Piermont NY 10968 Spanish- Italian. People really love this place. Kings Pizza 453 Piermont avenue Not NY but good. They have a full bar. 14 & Hudson 457 Piermont Avenue Never been there but has great reviews. Wine Piermont Fine Wine & Spirit 503 Piermont Avenue Great wine store. Very high end and very reasonably priced. Our house is 5 seconds from the bus stop that will take you to the city or other various places you may want to explore. Since Covid we have changed our cleaning procedure and products that we use. Prior to covid we only used essential oils and eco friendly products. During this period we will be cleaning with harsher products. If you would prefer that not to be the case we can do what ever you are most comfortable with. We also do not ever book back to back reservations.
