Marlborough home 5 minutes from the High Street

This small town house in the beautiful, historic market town of Marlborough is ideal for visiting the High Street with its markets, shops, pubs and restaurants. Nearby you will find Avebury, Silbury Hill, Kennet Barrow and Stonehenge. The house has 2 bedrooms with upstairs bathroom, a lounge diner for eating and relaxing with Wifi or TV, a small conservatory and garden and your own parking space in the private car park to the rear. There are some free spaces on the road outside the house. The house (with parking) is a short walk from the High Street which makes it ideal for a weekend away for shopping and eating out without worrying about driving home. It is also an ideal home from home if working in the area. It is the perfect base for visiting the Wiltshire countryside and sights - Avebury, Kennet Barrow, Silbury Hill, Stonehenge. The historic cities of Salisbury and Winchester are not far. The New Forest and South Coast are near enough for a day trip. It is an ordinary modern house but we hope we've made it nice for a long or short stay. The garden is small but quite private and somewhere to sit outside or for a drink before heading up to the High Street for dinner. You will have the whole house and garden and parking space for your own use. You will be able to speak to us by phone or contact us by email. We may sometimes be around to greet you or be there to do the garden. The house is 5 minutes walk from the High Street. It is in a residential area in a busy part of the town, not far from pubs and shops, but the main shops and restaurants are in the centre. Marlborough itself is an historic market town with a rich history, regular markets, a jazz festival, 2 Mop Fairs, shops, cafes and restaurants, including a Rick Stein's. There are bus routes nearby with bus stops right near the house. The nearest train stations are at Pewsey and Burbage. The nearest large towns are Swindon and Newbury. The house has its own private parking, there are some spaces on the road outside the house and there is also public parking halfway to the walk to the High Street and in the middle of the High Street (not market days) and a large car park behind Waitrose and other central car parks. The house is on a main road so there is traffic noise.
