The Oaks, a country home "on the sea"

500 m above the sea level, "the Oaks" is a natural oasis where you can sit back and relax to natural birds singing, whilst enjoying the beautiful panorama on the sea. An ideal atmosphere to spend a beautiful holiday with family and friends. On the ground floor there are 2 double bedrooms, 1 small bedroom, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower and 1 living room with fireplace. On the second floor there are 3 more double bedrooms. Outside there is a nice portico surrounded by a beautiful garden of 2 hectares including various orchards and a small forest area. Up to groups of maximum 5 people, guests will be welcomed on the ground floor. For bigger groups, guests will also be welcomed on the second floor. In either cases, guests will always have access to the beautiful surrounding garden. Check-in time is up to 8 pm. Check-out time is up to 12 am. Any modification to these times will be considered upon request, yet a commission will be applied. Thanks to its perfect position, at the Oaks you can enjoy the quietness of the countryside, with its beautiful natural reserves, as well as visiting nearby cultural places of historical importance. •2 km – Caccamo - wonderful village dominated by the biggest medieval castle in Sicily. Here you can taste lots of local culinary specialties and buy food of first necessity (small markets, bakeries and butcher shops) •5 km – ‘Monte San Calogero’ Natural Reserve – ideal place for hiking (3h-4h long walks) and enjoy an amazing view over the Sicilian sea! •6 km – The ‘Rosamarina’ Dam - where to swim, practice acquatic activitites like water-skiing, canoeing and windsurfing and ride horses around the lake (only in summertime) •15 km - Termini Imerese - known for its thermal spring water •20 km – Himera – an old archeological greek site •43 km – Cefalù – ideal little town for a one-day-trip to its precious historical center and its wonderful Byzantine Cathedral •60 km – Palermo - the biggest sicilian city and the one with the wider hisotrical center in all Europe! From here, you can easily reach Monreale with its beautiful Arab-Norman Cathedral •110 km – Castellamare – nice little town over the sea where to taste local fish specialities and close to the beautiful Zingaro Natural Reserve, with beatiful beaches with crystal clear water •100 km – Agrigento – worldwide known for the Valley of the Temples, UNESCO heritage site of glorious Greek importance It's necessary to have your own car in order to reach the country home and move around more easily. If you arrive at the airport you can rent a vehicle there. Parking is possible inside the property. Direction: Punta Raisi airport – Caccamo (meeting point) 1.From the airport, head toward A29 direction PALERMO 2.Once you reach the city, continue to follow E90 direction PALERMO/MESSINA 3.After 69 km, take exit to TERMINI IMERESE 4.Keep left at the fork and follow signs for CACCAMO 5.Continue onto SS285 until you reach CACCAMO.
