Cosy 16th Century Thatched Cottage

A charming 16th century thatched holiday cottage situated on the outskirts of Pulham Market and only 10 minutes drive to Diss and a 25 minute drive to Norwich. The cottage is a superb base to explore both the wonderful coastline of Norfolk, the Norfolk Broads and the beautiful countryside of Suffolk. The cottage is full of character and charm with exposed beams everywhere and a lovely inglenook fireplace in the lounge to snuggle up in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped for your needs having a Belfast sink, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge freezer, microwave etc., and there is also a small dining area in the kitchen in addition to the main dining room. The bathroom is situated on the ground floor and there is also a separate cloakroom. A charming cottage staircase leads up to 3 bedrooms, which consist of 2 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom. The single bedroom is accessed through one of the double bedrooms. There is a large shingle driveway which can accommodate several cars.. (The owners leave a car parked outside the property for security reasons but there is still room for parking 4/5 cars). There is a lovely restaurant/pub called The Crown situated on the village green within walking distance of the cottage. Please note that the cottage was built in the 16th century so has low ceilings and the bedroom floors have a slight incline. Pulham Market is a pretty Norfolk village. There is a pretty village green with thatched houses around it and a lovely pub/restaurant which is walking distance from the cottage. There is also a village shop for your basic needs, which has a cash point, and a doctor’s surgery. The nearest town is Harleston, about 8 minutes drive. Here you will find nearly everything you would need. Diss is also only 12 minutes by Car and Norwich 25 minutes drive. A car is recommended but Diss Railway station is only 12 minutes away. You can get a train to London and loads of places from here.
