Our family called this space home for 3 years and LOVED IT- we updated the house as we went and now we're excited to share it with you. The fully furnished home has 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, living room with a TV and dedicated desk space for those coming with work, and of course a full bathroom. Our kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, plates, utensils, cooking oil, and of course coffee and tea options. We will have creamer and light breakfast options- please let us know of any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate! We are game lovers, and we have a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf of board games for your enjoyment! Our space was set up for my husband to work from home, and we have left behind many of the amenities. Our WiFi is fast, there are several outlets available near the desk, there's a light, post-it notes, pens, paperclips, etc. If there's anything you need we will be happy to do our best to help! The listing includes a bright, cozy living room with seating for at least 5 and a smart TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies. The full bathroom has a bath and shower. The two bedrooms are warm and minimalistic with options to pull out an extra twin mattress and a pack and play. We have a few infant toys and a booster seat that's appropriate for babies who sit up by themselves up to toddlers. Please let us know if you'd like for us to pull out the extra twin floor mattress or set out anything for children! We have a basement tenant, Dennis, with an entirely separate entrance and space. You will not share any space with him at all. The driveway is his for parking, but we have abundant street parking. He's quiet and very handy- you likely won't see him unless a need arises, then he's available for assistance with whatever you need. NOTE: if you are bringing a pet, we will ask specific questions about it. The current pet fee is set for animals, which we require for extra cleaning. We require that your pets are kenneled anytime you are not in the home, and we also do not allow them on any furniture. We have strict pet rules to keep the house inviting to others with allergies. At this stay, the entire main level is yours to use. Dennis lives in the basement downstairs. He has a fully separate entrance and you likely will not see him unless you have a need- if so, he's incredibly handy. He parks in the driveway, but there is plenty of street parking available for you. NOTE: there are days that the streets are cleaned- there will be a note in the kitchen to explain which days, and we strongly encourage you to read this to avoid getting a ticket! (Grand Forks is very strict about giving tickets). During your stay, if there is anything you need you will be free to text/call us and we are glad to assist you! Our house is blocks from the historic district in Grand Forks, full of beautiful, older homes. Up and down the streets surrounding us are large trees- it's beautiful walking even in winter. We're blocks away from Lincoln Park and the Greenway, with walking trails along the river and free sleds and skis in the winter! It's a must-see for Grand Forks. We're also a 5 minute drive from downtown, where there are many quirky restaurants, shops and coffee shops. We love the Tea and Crepe place for bubble tea! We know many of our neighbors and love them. Our area is a great representation of the friendliness that North Dakota is known for. Getting around in Grand Forks is relatively easy, but we have a guide in the apartment with tips for you during your stay! We are relatively active people, so when we lived here we often walked downtown (the 30 minute walk is through the loveliest neighborhoods!). Public transportation in Grand Forks isn't amazing, but if you need help getting around let us know and we can give you tips. We welcome guests from any walks of life and promise to do our best to help you have a wonderful visit to Grand Forks. A few noteworthy amenities that make our space special include: -hypoallergenic pillows -waterproof mattress covers on each queen bed to ensure totally clean bedding -all linens are washed in hypoallergenic detergent safe for sensitive skin -high quality whole bean coffee, grinder, french press along with creamer and tea options (we don't mess around with mediocre coffee) -shampoo, conditioner, and body wash safe for those with common allergies/sensitivities -shelves of actually fun board games -Smart TV with surround sound and DVD/blueray player with a handful of fun movie options. Chromecast included, which is compatible with your Netflix, Hulu, etc accounts -light breakfast will be provided UPON REQUEST: -twin floor mattress -pack and play, toys for babies and younger children -access to fire pit (provide your own wood) access to yard games -we are open to having more people than 6 stay if you are willing to honor our house rules AND you are okay with your own sleeping accommodations!
